The cabin is powered by solar energy. The potable water is piped directly from a mountain spring. Rainwater is harvested on site and piped to bathroom and kitchen. The toilet is a dry compost type which segregates urine and solid waste. The solid water is composted and used to grow fruits and vegetables.
