This cozy 800 sf cottage is adorned with mid century modern furniture, has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Enjoy your meals in the dining room with views of the beach. You can also enjoy your dinners cooked outside on the propane BBQ or fire pit. Eat on the spacious deck, at the beach front fire pit or Muskoka chairs. We’re located right on a private beach butting up to the Bruce Peninsula National Park. Stroll along the beach into the National Park and explore the shoreline, the boardwalk, hiking trails and immerse yourself in nature. Dorcas bay is shallow, sandy and warm making it perfect for kids to play safe or adults just looking to cool off from the summer heat. The proximity to water, sandy beach, wild flowers and mature trees creates a tranquil and peaceful connection to nature. You’re only a 7-10 minute drive to Tobermory where you’ll find restaurants, shops, grocery store, liquor store and popular attractions such as boat cruises to Flower Pot Island and the Fathom Five National Marine Park, the National Park Visitor Center and Tobermory lighthouse. Just a quick drive south is the gateway to Cyprus Lake (the Grotto, Indian Head Cove and Overhanging Point), Halfway Log Dump and Devils Monument. Includes 1 laundry basket for guests to put their dirty linens into after their stay, so that they may be picked up by the cleaner to be laundered. Any missing items will be charged to the guest accordingly, after pickup.u Guest access You will have private access to the entire property, cottage and beach. There are 2 sheds behind the cottage. The smaller shed is for renter use and has beach chairs, beach toys, shovels and snorkeling equipment for your use. Other things to note Laundry - Our cottage does not have a laundry room but there is a laundry mat in town if you need to wash your cloths during your stay. Sud’s in the Tub is located at 7433 Hwy 6, Tobermory, ON N0H 2R0 Drinking Water - The tap water is potable but has a sulfur smell and is slightly discoloured due to the proximity to the fen nearby. We recommend bringing large jugs of drinking water. We use the tap water to brush teeth, bathe and cook with, eg. pasta. We only use bottled water for drinking and making coffee. The Northern Bruce Peninsula is a dark sky community which means they try to limit light pollution. Singing Sands happens to be a mecca for star gazers who gather on the beach on summer nights with high powered telescopes. The National Park also does night guided star gazing events.
