Description
The space The Blue Moon is a countryside retreat and an artist residency, nestled between fields and forests. Located in the Clunisois valley in Saône-et-Loire, The Blue Moon is an old farmhouse just 1.5 hours by TGV from Paris and 1 hour by car from Lyon. The nearest train stations are Mâcon Loché TGV and Mâcon Ville (TER). Indoor spaces: A fully equipped kitchen, brightened by large windows. A spacious living room with a relaxation area featuring two sofas, armchairs, a large bookshelf, and a convivial dining table. An isolated and quiet office. Outdoor spaces: The garden offers many pleasant nooks, with two terraces: one offering a beautiful view of the valley, surrounded by stone Abbey outbuildings, and the other more intimate, nestled in a green setting. It also includes a vegetable garden, an outdoor greenhouse, and green spaces. A large barn provides an ideal space for sharing a meal in a convivial atmosphere with family or friends. Bedrooms and sleeping arrangements: On the ground floor, there are two bedrooms: a master suite with a 160 cm bed and an en-suite shower room with a WC, and a second bedroom with two 140 cm beds and its own small shower room with a WC. The house also has several additional beds (two sofa beds in the living room and two single beds), accommodating up to 10 people. Surroundings: The house, isolated and peaceful, is just 10 minutes by car from the shops in Cluny and Salornay-sur-Guye. Surrounding areas offer many hiking trails, foraging spots, and the chance to visit the Blanot caves. The region is also lively with markets, cafés, and flea markets, dotted with charming villages such as Cluny (10 mins), Cormatin (17 mins), and Taizé (10 mins). Guest access The Blue Moon is much more than just a place to stay. It is a house lived in year-round, sometimes by its owner, sometimes by artists seeking inspiration. Each space vibrates with the rhythm of the seasons, nourished by the creativity and life that inhabit it. The house is entirely available to guests, but as it is my primary residence, some personal belongings and valuable items are present. I kindly ask each guest to respect these personal items, which will be stored and not easily accessible.
