The space Hideaway is a unique and delightful 2 room guesthouse nestled on a large tropical block in the historic Pearler's quarter of Broome. It has everything you need for a relaxing getaway or an adventurous holiday in the beautiful Kimberley region. The guesthouse shares 2500m2 tropical gardens with the historic Maurice Lyons Pearler's Residence; home to Ashley, Phil, Airlie and Fin. You have your own stand alone house separated from the main house by lush gardens, a privacy screen and a pool. Expect to feel you are in your own private resort with hardly anyone else around. While it may be hard to leave the idyllic surrounds a 5-10 minute walk takes you to major Broome icons: Matso's historic brewery, Chinatown Markets, The Mangrove Resort Hotel, Roebuck Bay and Guwwarri (Town Beach precinct and jetty). Depending on your level of fitness a 20 minute walk takes you into the heart of Chinatown to Sun Pictures, boutiques, restaurants, lookouts, cafes and supermarkets. The Broome Explorer bus stop is a 5 minute walk across from picturesque Roebuck Bay. Catch a bus to Cable Beach or hire a car or electric scooter. The architecturally designed guest house itself is bright and airy. 2 large rooms separated by a well provisioned kitchen and bathroom open out onto your private 20 square meter veranda overlooking the garden and pool. Enjoy a relaxing cuppa in the morning and a cooler beverage in the afternoons. There is a luxe Queen Bed in the bedroom and a comfy lounge and large smart TV in the second room. The lounge can be to converted to a double Sofa Bed for older children or friends. An additional linen fee of $75 per night is required to set up the sofa bed. Please let us know at booking. A Portacot is also available as is a high chair. The bright and sparkling bathroom is accessed from both the bedroom and the loungeroom. We happily supply you with quality bath and beach towels that are professionally laundered. Indulge in our Australian ZeroCo hair and body wash range designed by previous Aesop herbalist and product designer. These plant-based products are good for you, your family and the planet and contain no nasty ingredients. Every purchase funds ocean clean-ups. As well as personal hygiene products ZeroCo cleaning products are featured throughout the home. These are all in forever bottles that are refilled from returnable pouches. By avoiding single use plastics and supporting plant based ingredients we are helping to reduce our impact on the planet and the beautiful environment we live in. Kitchen facilities A full size fridge on the veranda caters to all your grocery needs, The well provisioned kitchenette overlooking the garden includes a coffee maker, microwave, kettle, toaster and 2 ring electric cook top. The outdoor BBQ can be used as an oven if your gourmet needs include baking and roasting. Eat in or dine out! Restaurants are nearby and also a great take away down the road serving Italian fare. If you love the outdoors you will enjoy the outdoor cooking area with dining table, BBQ and gas cook top. We have very friendly chickens on site who daily provide fresh eggs for our guests. 2 friendly dogs also live on the property, a brown chocolate Labrador called Winnie and a Kelpie called Summer. They are friendly and welcoming but won't bother you if you don't want a canine visitor. Come immerse yourself in the beauty and magic of Broome and the beautiful Kimberley region! Guest access Guests have their own private entrance, driveway and parking space. The Laundry, pool, front terrace and tropical grounds are shared with the resident family. Other things to note Beach Chairs and beach towels are provided to help you soak up Broome's saltwater magic. We have local knowledge a great love for the Kimberley and a willingness to share beautiful camping and picnic spots. Please note due to the abundant bird, frog and reptile wildlife and 2 friendly free roaming dogs Hideaway is not suitable for cats.
