The peaceful area offers fishing, shooting, horse riding, cycling and walking. The space The cottage has recently undergone a full renovation so for a listed cottage with period features it boasts a brand new electric and heating system. The downstairs includes a small entrance room for coats and boots, downstairs loo, sitting room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen and front and back doors with a utility room located to the rear in the private garden. The upstairs comprises of a larger master bedroom with a sizeable dressing room or nursery which comes off the end (there is a single day bed in it and a cot if required) next to this is a twin bedroom perfect for children and a family bathroom with a bath and shower. For an older house there is an abundance of storage. Nearest stations are Hungerford - 10 mins, Newbury 25mins, Didcot 25 mins which all have direct trains to London in 40-50 mins. Lambourn is 2 miles away and has pharmacy, co-op, hardware store etc. Hungerford is then 10 minutes, Wantage, 20 minutes and Marlborough 25 minutes. The village is home to one of the best gastro pubs in the area, 100 yards walk, called The Plough. The neighbouring larger village East Garston which you can walk to along the old railway line, has a village cafe and a buzzy pub called the Queens Arms with an excellent bar and food. We have space for one car in the drive but additional vehicles can park in the next door close.
