A former Hayloft to the Coach House below, built in 1700. In 2024 The Hayloft was converted to a quintessential English guest house. We are nestled within the countryside so you can enjoy a tranquil stay with the convenience of being only 3.5 miles from Norwich City centre, with easy access to the NNUH, UEA and train station. Locally there are good walks, cycling routes and you are close to the Norfolk Broads and about 30 mins by car to the Norfolk coast. The space Entrance The guest house is entered through a reclaimed church door at the top of some stairs with a 1930s wooden propeller decorating the stairway. Sun lounge The old oak door opens into a glorious sun lounge complete with choir stall, sofa, table and chairs. There is a fully glazed wall, leading to the sun terrace with outside seating and dining for 6. Lounge The lounge is full of character with a vaulted ceiling and beams a plenty. Seating includes a sofa bed, along with a pirates chest complete with games. Kitchen Adjacent to the lounge is a traditional farmhouse kitchen with a fully functioning range cooker. Never fear it also contains all mod cons including coffee machine, air fryer, microwave and dishwasher. Nestled within it wall is also a table and 6 chairs. Bedroom 1- Primary bedroom This romantic double aspect room boasts genuine wooden beams and a four poster double bed. Two bedside cabinets with lamps and sockets and built in cupboard with draw and hanging space. Bedroom 2 - The Map Room The map room gets its name from the full length wall mural of an ancient world map. Ornately carved double bed complete with memory foam mattress. Two bedside cabinets with lamps and sockets. This room also contains a sink, built in cupboard with draw, hanging space and a full length mirror. Bedroom 3 A charming multi functioning room that can be made into two single beds or combined to make one super king. It has two bedside cabinets with storage, lamps, sockets and a small built in wardrobe. Bathroom 1- Large spacious room with a walk in shower, toilet, and sink W/C A spacious WC with a sink Bathroom 2 Contains a large enamelled bath and sink There is ample parking for your cars and guests will have access to the garden where they can use the outdoor seating area and fire pit. Guest access The Guest house is accessed through a private entrance, continue up some stairs to arrive at the front door. Other things to note Please be aware the property is accessed via a flight of stairs. The Hayloft is a 1700 listed building, it is fully double glazed and the central heating is by an air source heat pump. Wifi is available throughout the property.
