Cozy, historic home built in 1900 with a unique layout. Located on 1+ acre with beautiful, bucolic yard that has privacy, fruit trees and flowers. This rental is a portion of the 1st floor that is locked and private from the rest of the house. Your stay will help with the continued renovation and costly upkeep of this piece of history. Currently only taking reservations for stays of 31 days or longer. If host family uses the other portion of the house, it will be coordinated with guests. The space Located in the heart of the city, just 0.5 miles from Archbold Grady Hospital. This historic home is being lovingly restored in between stays with high end amenities and modern technology. We perform periodic pest control. Despite our best efforts, short of sealing all windows permanently closed, historic homes are not as well sealed as newer construction. Humidity outside can bring bugs (roaches, spiders, ants, ladybugs, etc.). indoors. Bugs are quick if a door/window is left open or any food / cardboard is lying about that will attract them toward the home. Please let us know if there seems to be a daily pest issue and we will schedule an evaluation as soon as possible. Guest access Secure entry to guest's portion of the house. Guests do not have access to the front porch, detached garage or locked parts of the house. Interior setup is similar to hotels with adjoining rooms that can be locked on both sides. Locked & marked doors are restricted for exclusive use of Owner and Housekeeping. You can lock your items in as well. Other things to note No third party booking ever permitted. Do not book this for someone else without first discussing it with us. Check-out instructions are simple: Turn everything off and lock up. This is someone’s house and neighborhood. Please treat both with respect. Be respectful of neighbors and city ordinances with noise. Please report any damages or broken items immediately. Permission needed from owner before any unregistered guests due to utility usage. Pricing is for up to 4 overnight guests. Having more than that can lead to extra fees or possible cancellation of your reservation. Please, no sleeping on couch. We do not have maintenance or housekeeping staff on-site like a hotel does, so if an issue arises our guests must be resourceful, communicative and reasonably patient. Cleaning service can be arranged for you for an additional fee if you would like housekeeping during your stay. Unapproved late checkout can put the Housekeeper behind and result in you paying their extra fees. Check-out Housekeeper will not come until the property is vacated. Emotional Support Animals: We respectfully decline the presence of emotional support animals from our property Service Animals: Please advise if a service animal required because of a disability and what work or task has the dog been trained to perform. A service animal must not be: Out of control, Unhousebroken, Left alone at the listing without prior approval, Allowed into areas that are considered unauthorized to the guest, Allowed in a public space without being harnessed, leashed, or tethered and not under the guest’s control. This does not exempt Service Animal owners from paying fines in the event of their service animal damaging the property or hurting someone on the premises. In these instances, owners will be held financially (and sometimes legally) liable for the damages. No business events or parties on property. No candles or fireworks allowed. No smoking or vaping inside the house. Smoke/Vape outside at least *25 feet away from doors and windows* as the smell travels in with the smoker. You are responsible for your own butt disposal devices and are not to throw butts in the yard or indoor trash cans. Please be respectful. Please, no use of hair dyes in the house We are not liable for outages of power, internet etc. We provided the city's contact information on the refrigerator so you can directly notify utilities of the outage. A current itemized list is maintained for all supplies. Should owner’s quarters be broken into, locks tampered with or any items unaccounted for, guests will be charged accordingly.
