The apartment "Il Glicine" is part of the historic house "Borgo La Grancia", located in a spectacular area of the Tuscan countryside. It is located on the first floor and consists of two bedrooms (one with two single beds and one double), each with its own bathroom, a living room, a kitchen/dining area, and a furnished terrace. It is elegantly furnished with Tuscan terracotta floors, beamed ceilings, and period furniture. It offers beautiful views of the gardens, the pool area, and the valley. The space Borgo La Grancia is a 13th century fortified farm perched on a hill in the delightful village of Montisi, near Pienza and Montalcino, where the landscape and its many colors change continuously throughout the year. The natural beauty of this area instills a feeling of peace and tranquility in all who visit. Every year in Montisi and the nearby towns, celebrations, food festivals, concerts, historical re-enactments and folkloristic events take place. Our little village offers some interesting activities organized by local professionals: Tuscan cooking lessons, painting lessons, food and wine tastings. From Borgo La Grancia you can reach restaurants, bars, a grocery store, a pharmacy, a wine bar, a bakery and other small shops within a few minutes' walk. Guest access Guests have access to all the gardens, courtyards and the pool area which is for their exclusive use. Other things to note Upon request, we will be happy to show our guests some of the private areas of our historic home. Of particular interest are the rooms used by the Grand Duke of Tuscany in the 1700s, the small 19th century theater with 52 seats (one of the smallest theaters in the world) and the ancient cellars carved into the rock. For centuries, we've been producing extra virgin olive oil using organic methods. This tradition continues today, and you can purchase our products directly from us during your stay.
