Your private home is tucked away in its own plot, within the grounds of a 380 year old Grade II listed home. Set in the rolling hills of the Chilterns 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' & close to the stunning Ashridge Estate. 10 min drive to Berkhamsted. Explore beautiful walks on the doorstep or take a 2 min stroll up to the Amaravati Buddhist monastery for meditation. The Harry Potter Studio Tour is 20 min drive away or settle in at the award winning Alford Arms pub in the nearby village. The space 'The Annexe' is set apart from the main house with its own large outside space for relaxing in the sunshine or stargazing at night. Walking through the double doors you arrive in the main, open plan kitchen / living room. There is a dedicated dining area, fitted kitchen with Nespresso machine. Lovely comfy sofa and TV space with immediate access to Netflix, Amazon Prime etc, super fast WiFi. Adjoining this is a separate double bedroom with high ceilings and beams with en suite bathroom and rain shower on hand. It has all the amenities needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Guest access The large driveway is shared with the host but available for guests to use with guest parking for 1 car (further parking 40 yards up the road for additional cars), Please be mindful to leave space for other cars to enter and exit. Enter through the gate and follow the gravel path up the garden and along the side of the house to the annexe set at the rear of the property with its own raised patio and private setting. Other things to note Things to consider about the location before booking - we are in the countryside. The local convenience store is a 10 min car journey and the local pub is a 25 min walk. It’s also very dark here at night and there are no street lights. ****************************************************** For walkers; we are directly on the Hertfordshire way and a short walk to join the Chiltern Way. There is a lovely walk to the Ashridge Estate with its own stunning gardens and grounds to explore. A 20 minute walk through countryside footpaths takes you to Frithsden where the Alford Arms pub welcomes all walkers with great food and hospitality. The incredible Ivinghoe Beacon is about 15 mins drive away and the River Gade runs through the valley at Great Gaddesden. About 10 mins drive away is the market town of Berkhamsted with its castle ruins, lots of coffee shops, weekend markets, grand union canal walks and the famous Rex cinema. Luton Airport is a 20 minute drive away Heathrow Airport 40 minute drive away 15 minute drive to M25 - all from Great Gaddesden
