During your stay in the house, you will feel the magic that Songesand has to offer. You forget the time and you are overwhelmed by an oasis of peace. Songesand is an old farming village where six residents live all year round. This idyllic place is located in the famous Lysefjord. If you walk up the mountain in front of the house, you can see up to 90% of the fjord. You are close to the unique natural wonders of Preikestolen, Kjerag, the world's longest wooden staircase Flørli and so much more! The space The house can be divided into two parts. Only the ground floor is used for two people. There you will find a master room with a double bed, a bathroom (shower, toilet and sink) and a large open space: kitchen, wood stove, dining area and lounge. The spacious living room is attractive and has large windows on three sides through which nature enters. The kitchen is well equipped: oven, fridge, hob, kettle, mixer, coffee maker, etc. Please note, the dishwasher is not yet connected and can therefore not be used. The bathroom is very basic and small and contains a shower, sink and toilet. The bedroom is basic and spacious, has a large double bed and a view of the fjord (1.5 km) A door from the bedroom and from the living room leads to the terrace that surrounds 3/4 of the house. On the top floor there are two separate bedrooms, each with a double bed, heating and a window overlooking the fjord. The house has been furnished with great care and style. Small details make you immediately feel at home. Other things to note Important to know: Shopping: the nearest shop is in Ardal, a 30-minute drive (closed on Sundays) Food and drinks: at SongesandCamp you can get a traditional meal if you reserve in advance. You can also eat something in Florli, look on the internet for more information and reservations. On the fjord: you can take the Kolumbus Ferry with reservation. The boat sails through the fjord twice a day. If you do not make a reservation, the boat will not stop at the kai. For more information, look at the route planner on the internet. Kolumbus dot no. You can also rent a boat from Hakon and Sven, we can give you their contact details if you wish. Walking routes: The walking route to Bakken (5km) starts at Songesand kai. You can go there and back or you can take the ferry to Bakken and walk back. Or you can continue walking to the famous Preikestolen (12km). You can also drive to the parking lot in Jorpeland and climb up from the foot of Preikestolen tot he top (4km) FlØrli, on the other side of the Fjord, is also worth to visit. There are a lot of different hikes, short and long.
