It is perfect for large families and groups looking for a comfortable time together while enjoying the incredible features of Tadoussac and other local area treasures. Our home is a quiet, cozy getaway in the heart a renowned destination for whale watchers and nature lovers. It offers comfortable accommodations just steps away from whale sightseeing, breathtaking natural landscapes, incredible regional cooking, and a beautiful, local beach. We are located on a cul-de-sac, with a back deck built for privacy and a driveway suitable for 3 vehicles, and your own outdoor bike rack with capacity for street, mountain, and fat wheel bikes (please supply your own locks). On the first floor is the kitchen, primary living room (with tv, couch, and gas fireplace), 2 bedrooms (one queen, the other with a double bed and designated work desk, a full bathroom, laundry room, and access to the backyard. On the 2nd floor is another living room with a tv, couch, workspace, kitchenette, table and chairs for 4, electric fireplace, and twin daybed (with room divider screen for privacy). There is a balcony with stunning views overlooking the town, the St. Lawrence, the hills of the fjord and a lake. The primary bedroom (King) is up here also, with another full bathroom. Both bathrooms are supplied with essentials. The kitchen has all the basics including a dishwasher and microwave oven. You will be a 5-minute walk to cafés, bakeries, gelateria, grocery store, and restaurants. You are just a 10-minute walk to the beach, whale tours, brewery, and more restaurants. A quick 10 minute drive will bring you to a golf course, tennis court, and the sand dunes. From June to October the nearby boat tours can be purchased for you to enjoy the many whale species that visit our waters. From belugas and humpbacks to “Big Blue” the area boasts more than 6 species. (Bonus points if you find the narwhal!) A short stroll through our picturesque town leads you to a beautiful beach and boardwalk, perfect for adoring landscapes, tides, sunsets, and seashores. Make our home your base for exploring the natural beauty and unique wildlife of Tadoussac, and the Saguenay fjord that is beautiful in every season. Rather you are here to experience whales, seasonal festivals, or outdoor adventures, we are equipped to ensure a memorable and meaningful stay. ALLERGY ALERTS o We are a pet-friendly home. Although we uphold a high standard of cleaning between guests, if you have pet-related sensitivities we cannot ensure you will not be affected. o The sofa in the downstairs living room has feather fill. o The previous owners of the house did smoke inside. Although over the past 2 years we have cleaned and renovated extensively, someone with exceptional sensitivity may still be affected. o Seafood of all kinds is common in our surf-side village, therefore, many kinds of shellfish are cooked in our kitchen. NOTE: We do not allow smoking of any kind indoors at all! Please be respectful of this rule, our efforts, our family, and our other guests. Guest access Our doors are controlled by codes and remote access. Prior to your arrival, you will be given your code and instructions.
