We are the design duo behind The Palm Loft and The Fig Piêd-à-Terre in the city, The Barn on West Ridge’s Cathedral Barn and Cottage Farmhouse in the Hudson Valley, The Highview Cabin here in the Catskills and now The Way Out House, a tiny home that shares a property with The Highview. Shandaken STR License # 2025-STR-028 The space UPDATE! - The Way Out will be a longer-term rental January-April, so if you’ve wanted to give the Upstate life a try or have a concentration project to tackle for a week or month(s), get in touch! ———— All the amenities of a home without that unnecessary extra space. :) The loft bed sleeps two, as does the pull-out couch bed in the living room. There is a soaking tub atop a heated slate floor, a faux wood burning stove with remote and silly crackle device, TV with all streaming services, smart speaker, Phillips Hue voice-command lights with varying dimming and temp settings, mini bar, record player and plentiful books. The only thing not provided in the kitchen is a stove top or microwave. Designer hosting ware and ceramics, bar-sized fridge from The Gramercy Hotel, full pour-over coffee station (with instant, too), a blender, and an air fryer that has all the settings of a small oven for reheating, cooking or baking. You’ll also find coat hangers, a shoe caddy with slippers, oversized bath sheet towels and waffle robes. Guest access While The Way Out House shares its property with The Highview Cabin, it has its own road and parking space, so no interaction is necessary. Other things to note You’ll be receiving a how-to video for the house on the day of your arrival along with entry info via text to the number listed in your reservation or profile.
