Town-House basement

An 1800’s basement flat with own entry, situated in the centre of Cheltenham, with easy links to the Cotswolds and Cheltenham Racecourse. The space The flat consists of a large bedroom with a double bed, single wardrobe, chest of drawers, wing back chair, and a desk. A hairdryer is in the desk drawer. The bed has a dual control heated electric blanket, and there is an additional electric heater should it be required. An ironing board and iron can be provided on request. The lounge contains a TV with Chromecast, allowing you to stream from your phone. There is also a firestick allowing access to the usual terrestrial channels. There is a small breakfast nook in the lounge, with access to a fridge (with freezer compartment), kettle, and oven/microwave combi allowing the preparation of simple foods and drinks. Tea, coffee, and sugar are all provided. There are plenty of places within walking distance for all types of cuisine, or available for delivery. The bathroom consists of a shower cubicle, sink and toilet, with humidity triggered extractor fan. The utility is accessed through the bathroom, and has a sink for any washing up that may be created, and the washing machine if needed. Parking is available for one car free of charge, but is within a zoned permit area, rather than off-road parking. The car registration would be required a few days in advance so that a permit could be organised. Alternatively, a council car-park is located within 0.1 miles. Cheltenham spa station is a 1.4 mile walk away, and the Promenande, for local bus services, a 0.4 mile walk. Guest access Flexible check in is available on Saturdays only. This is from 2pm. The basement flat is entirely yours for the duration of your stay. You have your own front door to enter and leave the property. The basement is only accessible via a set of steps. The utility offered in the listing can be accessed through the basement flat, or via the rear courtyard. Although we avoid using this room whilst the basement is in use, it would remain the only potential shared space. However, our access would be the external courtyard entrance, not through the flat you are using. Other things to note Flexible check in is available on Saturdays only. This is from 2pm. As We have five cats who have access to the house (when not being rented this includes the basement) and garden. So if you're allergic to cats, this place probably isn't right for you. Although all effort has been made to clean the rooms of cat hair, as any animal owner knows, the fur does persist. During your stay, the cat flap in the basement lounge will be set to "out only" Unless you open the doors and invite the cats in (which you are more than welcome to do!) they will remain unable to access the basement flat. However, the flap being on out only means that should they somehow sneak into the flat without your knowledge, they would be able to let themselves back out again. The cats are not allowed out the front door. Our rear garden has no road access, so they remain safe from traffic out the back.
