The Bothy, Byron Hinterland

The Bothy is a Scottish reference to a small building on a hill – offering refuge to travellers and walkers. This describes our studio. A space to relax and unwind…removed from the sounds and rhythm of the city. The Bothy has all you need for a relaxing stay. Set amongst a 100 acre macadamia farm in the Byron Hinterland, tucked away down a lane amongst the trees. The space The bedroom has a queen size bed with luxe linen and towels provided. The lounge/living has a TV with all free to air and digital channels, DVD/CD player, wireless bluetooth Bose speaker. High speed wireless internet is provided via Starlink service. If needing to work remotely, there is a dedicated desk nook to keep you focussed. There is a fully self-contained kitchenette, with microwave, stovetop, all utensils, wine glasses and some cooking basics - olive oil, balsamic, salt and pepper. A Webber Q BBQ sits on the deck for your use. Choose to eat inside at a table for two, or outside which seats six. We provide a self-service style light continental breakfast including coffee, tea, dairy or macadamia milk and muesli and locally baked sourdough bread. Enjoy an outdoor bath and shower, complete with hot and cold water, bath salts and bubbles provided. Enjoy the evening sky at sunset beside the outdoor firepit. A truly special time of the day! Please note: Because we are a working farm, and have a lot of unique local native wildlife, we do not allow pets or children in The Bothy or on our property. Other things to note We're located in the beautiful Byron Hinterland, you will feel a world away, but all amenities and services are within easy reach. We do recommend you have your own vehicle/a hire car, as Ubers and Taxis don't reliably service the hinterland.
