A Scandi style property situated in a 2 acre field surrounded by woods, chickens and wildlife. This spacious open plan lodge is well equipped, comfortable & cosy during the winter months. In the summer you can enjoy dining al fresco on both private terraces, designed to catch the sun all day. The space Built in 2024 and situated on a quiet lane , a short walk from the village of Burton in Lonsdale The lodge comprises an open plan , well equipped kitchen/dining /lounge area with central heating French doors from this space lead onto a sunny front terrace . Perfect for watching the evening sun go down There is also a terrace at the side which catches the morning/ early afternoon sun , a perfect place for breakfast or lunch al fresco For the colder months there is a bio ethanol stove to warm yourselves in front of , after a long walk . The bedroom has a king sized bed and is large enough for a cot or a small child’s bed. These are available if required .at no extra charge. There are also French doors leading out from the bedroom to the front terrace. There is a contemporary bathroom with shower The local area has much to offer . The 3 Peaks, Kirkby Lonsdale, Clapham, the Ingleton Waterfall trail and Settle and Malham Tarn are all close by and are well worth a visit . The area also has many beautiful walks and great cycling routes straight from the door. Wennington Hall is 2.5 miles away The village of Burton in Lonsdale is a welcoming village with a well stocked community owned shop , a playground, a picnic area by the river , a community orchard, an outdoor gym and lovely walks through the woods. In December 2025 the much loved local pub, the Punchbowl reopened as a thriving community owned pub . It is well worth a visit and is only a short walk down the lane from the Roost. No need to drive. There is free and exclusive parking at the Roost ,a lockable bike shed and excellent wifi Our garden leads into the field where the lodge is situated , but the lodge has its own separate garden and terraces for your privacy and is about 100 yards from our house Guests are welcome to help themselves to the free range eggs from our chickens which roam around the field in front of the property. There are also often sheep in the field and the occasional deer passing through.
