Eccentric Tico Home for the Adventurer

If you love outdoor adventure and visiting the not so touristy places when you travel, Turrialba is one of the most amazing places to be. Located just walking distance of downtown Turrialba, my home is comfortable, safe and fully equipped and near the bus shuttles traveling to connecting cities within Costa Rica. The space Eccentric Costa Rican ‘Tico’ house has a fresh and open feel with spacious living room and large windows with screens to let in the breeze without the hassle of bugs. There are 2 bedrooms available for rent; Master Bedroom with 1 Queen Bed and second bedroom with two twin beds. The house can technically sleep additional people if it’s small kids or you are willing to use our additional mattresses (available upon request). There are fans in every room, including a ceiling fan in the living/dining room area, 2 full bathrooms with walk in showers, and the front porch is an amazing place to relax at the end of an eventful day! Turrialba Volcano has made headlines the past year with its frequent eruptions and is seen right from the front porch of the house, getting beautiful views with your morning or afternoon local coffee. Turrialba offers tours to bike around the infamous CATIE; the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center. You can find all sorts of exotic fruit trees on their property, so if you love agriculture, fruits, trees, and plants then you must visit the CATIE. More than visiting the CATIE is what Turrialba is truly famous for- Canyoning and Ziplining. Descent down 4 waterfalls, or zipline 5 cables through the Costa Rican rain forest right in the city of Turrialba. The best part of my home is you will experience the feel of a typical ‘Tico’ house with an eccentric vibe and feel! Guest access We have 2 different listing/options for you—this listing renting the entire house or listing to rent by room. When you rent the entire house, we will not rent to another group during your stay. With this listing the entire home is all yours and you won't be sharing any space with anybody. Everything that you see in the photos is all yours- patio, balcony, rooms, living room, etc. Other things to note Please help us to conserve energy and turn off all fans and lights when you leave the room.
