Take a break and unwind at this peaceful mountainous shelter. The house is located in the village Koronida, 34km from the central town of Naxos. The closest beach is located 15' away at Apollonas village. There are mini markets, restaurants, traditional cafe places and a gas station in the area. Make sure to either have or arrange to have a vehicle in order to be able to reach the village from the port or the airport, since the bus itineraries are not often. The space The accommodation is located in a mountainous village in the northern part of Naxos, called Koronida. It is situated on the main road that passes through the village. It is newly built, featuring one bedroom, one bathroom, and an open-plan living room with a fully equipped kitchen. It has a balcony with a mountain view. It is close to a mini-market and traditional cafes. The property has a solar water heater providing hot water. Due to the altitude of the village, even in the summer months, the temperatures are warm but not as high as on the coast (therefore, there is no air conditioning, only a fan). Especially during the evening hours, it can be cool (perhaps even cold for some), so we recommend bringing some warmer clothes for these times. Koronida (or Komiaki, as the locals call it) is a mountainous village located 34 kilometers from the island's capital, around a 45-minute drive. In the village (as well as in the surrounding villages), there are traditional cafes, restaurants, bakeries, mini-markets, etc. The nearest beach is 12 kilometers away in the village of Apollonas, about a 15-minute drive. Besides the natural scenery and Cycladic architecture, you can find ancient attractions in the area, such as the Mycenaean Tomb and the Watermills of Komiaki, as well as the Kouros of Apollonas. We emphasize having or renting a means of transportation because although there are routes from the island's KTEL (public bus service), they are few and only in the morning hours. Regarding transportation by bus, as far as we know, there are some routes from the port, but they serve many villages before reaching ours and take quite a while. For your convenience, it might be better to have your own transportation. We must emphasize that due to the distance from the port, a car or a higher-capacity scooter would be more suitable. You can search for rental offices online and contact them directly to accommodate your needs.
