Whimsical Wooded Lake Retreat close to Notre Dame

Our lake home is located on Baldwin Lake - a clean, spring-fed, 266 acre all-sport lake that’s perfect for boating, fishing, and all water activities. Our home was completely renovated and professionally styled in 2025. It’s on over an acre in a quiet wooded location that backs up to a serene creek, with a private fire pit, seating and dock across the street. With easy access to the toll road, it’s 15 minutes from Goshen, only 30 minutes from Notre Dame and Shipshewana, and 2 hours from Chicago. The space Our lake home was completely renovated in 2025! All beds, bedding, furniture, electronics and decor are new. We provide a full kitchen with all cooking necessities, a Keurig, linens, toilet paper, and bath/beach towels. Both bedrooms offer french doors opening up to private balconies - enjoy your morning coffee while watching the deer and other wildlife living on the wooded property. Views of the lake can be seen from the front porch, master bedroom, and living room. Enjoy your beverage of choice either inside, or outside on the beautiful wraparound deck. Catch a Notre Dame game in person (30 minute drive), or on our new 55” TV. Bedroom #1 on the main level offers a queen bed and an optional full trundle (3 people). Bedroom #2 (loft with 1/2 wall overlooking the living room) offers a king bed (2 people). Pack-and-play can be provided upon request. Our lakefront portion of the property (complete with a dock and fire pit) located directly across the street from the home, is shallow for the first 15 feet - perfect for small children to play in. Enjoy the water and the wildlife while staying in this gorgeous whimsical wooded family home! ****This is our personal home, not a “commercial” rental. Our family lives here and we stay nearby when it’s being rented. This house is not a party house, and out of respect for our neighbors, we have a strict noise policy after 10 PM. Further, smoking/vaping of any kind is strictly prohibited inside or outside of the home (and will result in a $1,500+ fee to renter if it takes place). Violation of these policies will result in immediate eviction**** Guest access You are welcome to use all rooms posted, appliances, and the laundry room. While the dock may be used by guests for swimming, etc., our boat is only to be used by owners (this includes sitting on it). If you’re interested in brining your own boat, please check with us first. Other things to note *If you plan to fish, you must have a fishing license - even fishing from the pier.
