The Artists' House/Garden Side Blue Room

In the heart of La Petite Montagne Jura, come and sleep in one of the 2 available bedrooms (see the other room in the 2nd listing) of our family home. My great-grandparents' house, renovated by my parents about 10 years ago, it is nestled in a small village of about twenty inhabitants at an altitude of 580 m, which is energized in the summer. Decorated with art objects from different continents and our own artistic creations, it is a magnificent haven of peace. The space The Blue Room is a large room, with a queen size bed (1.80 m wide), very quiet, large and bright, overlooking the garden, in a spacious and comfortable house. The room is on the 1st floor, with 2 other bedrooms (including mine). Possibility to add a single bed in case of an additional person (€20/day extra). The bathroom is shared if the other room is rented in the same way as yours. There is a toilet in this bathroom, a 2nd is on the ground floor (I have my own bathroom and my own toilet). The bathroom is cleaned at each departure of vacationers but not every day if there is no change of people. At the garden level, there is a large terrace and another small terrace below, the two having views of the fields where the cows from the village farm often come to graze. It's generally very quiet, with sometimes some unexpected noises from the countryside or village life. In the common courtyard are two more houses and a cabinetmaker's workshop. There are also several dogs in the wild, so if you are afraid of it, it can be complicated for you… And there may be barking depending on the activity of the yard and the house at the end of the garden. It's the country with all its lives! Fully equipped and accessible kitchen. Note: The lounge/TV area is private. There are no other TVs in the house. Guest access All the spaces and amenities of the house are accessible (except for my bedroom + bathroom). However, it is also my place of residence, so they are to be shared in a happy and respectful way, as I will be there often. Since there are other bedrooms, these spaces may also be shared with other guests or friends. Other things to note I do not serve breakfast but there is coffee and tea available. Linens are provided but not bath towels. I also offer body massage sessions with oil: Swedish massage, Californian massage, or foot reflexology. A craft area is also set up. The village of Monnetay is a 20-minute drive from Arinthod and/or Orgelet, where you can shop. Please note that there are no stores nearby, so plan to do your shopping in advance. The phone network can be erratic depending on your carrier, but the Wi-Fi works very well. It takes between 30 and 45 minutes to get to the various tourist attractions for: - Swim, go canoeing/paddleboarding at Bellecin Beach (about 30 minutes away), on Lake Vouglans (Le Surchauffant Beach too), or in small coves in an intimate setting. - swim and/or stroll around the lakes of Clairvaux, Grand Maclu, Petit Maclu, Ilay, Chalain, Coiselet, and many more - Admire the view from the 4 Lakes and Pic de l'Aigle viewpoints - Admire the Hérisson, Tufs, and Beaumes-les-Messieurs waterfalls. - Discover Chateau Chalon, surrounded by vines, and Beaumes-les-Messieurs and its Abbey - Stroll along the Wine Route, and taste different yellow and Comté wines. - See the small church of Saint-Hymetière, then access the Caves de la Caborne du Boeuf above the gorges of the Valouse...
