En-suite bed; private access

Ideally situated half way between Southampton centre and Southampton Uni, this calm and stylish space in a period property is a great place to unwind. The newly refurbished en-suite bedroom has its own front door, giving you privacy for your stay. Microwave and fridge provided. This en-suite bedroom is attached to the main house, but has its own entrance. NOTE: there is no access to the main house and no shared spaces. The area is quiet but close to shops and cafes and on the main bus routes. The space The property dates back to 1896 and still has the original fireplace and other features. The place has retained its charm yet been modernised to create a clean and comfortable space. With its own private access and en-suite shower room it provides a convenient and comfortable place to stay. The room can either be made up as one super king bed or two singles. Kettle, microwave, coffee machine and fridge all provided (NOTE; there is no kitchen access or access to the main house). If you find the fridge noisy at night, just unplug before you go to sleep, keeping the door closed and plug in again first thing in the morning. The original windows mean that sound can travel. Our neighbours our generally very quiet but on the odd Friday/Saturday night we can hear them if they are sitting outside. Feel free to bring earplugs just in case! In case it needs saying, there is no air conditioning! There is a fan that you can use and most of the time the UK isn’t that hot. Guest access Private entrance, can be accessed either by meeting us or via key box. Access is for en-suite bedroom only, there is no access to the main house. Other things to note We have been Airbnb hosts for many years in a previous property and have stayed in airbnb accommodation all over the world. We aim to give guests the things we want when we are away; clean space, decent WiFi, comfy bed, proper curtains, big towels and a great shower! Access: Although the room is on the ground floor there is a step up to the property and there is a step between the room and the shower room. It is not wheelchair accessible. This room is part of a main house (no access) so there may be some noise, although we have done our best to sound proof it! No smoking. Parking Much of Southampton is all a permit zone for parking, between 8am and 6pm, Mon to Sat, meaning you have to have a resident permit to park during the day. We can provide you with a visitor pass to park on our street (or roads nearby) for one day or you can park on Gordon Ave and the surrounding streets where there are no restrictions, there are always spaces nearby. You can park for 2 hours on our street, or the ones nearby without a permit between 8am and 6pm, so it will depend on your plans during the day. (If you arrive after 4pm you can park until 10am the next day with no permit). Please only park in the marked bays (there are normally plenty of spaces). If you need a permit please let us know in advance.
