Quiet country cottage, perfectly located to explore Eryri National Park or the North Wales coast. Set in a small, charming village with a pub and village shop only a stone’s throw away, Cartref is the ideal place for a relaxing getaway. The space The cottage has been lovingly restored and nestles in the pretty village of Llangernyw in the heart of the Elwy Valley in North Wales. From log fires and cosy nights, to a glass of fizz in the sun trap garden, Cartref is the perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring the great outdoors. Just a few minutes walk away, you’ll find The Old Stag pub serving great food and traditional ales, as well as a well-stocked village shop. Visitors also benefit from free on-road parking in front of the property. From the moment you walk through the door, Cartref Cottage will welcome you with open arms. It is tastefully furnished with details that will make your stay comfortable and relaxing. In the living area, the wood-burning stove makes for the cosiest of evenings. With sumptuous throws on hand, you can curl up, read a book or enjoy a glass of wine. The cutest of dining rooms awaits you to enjoy your home-cooked meals should you choose to dine in, with the fully-stocked kitchen providing everything you need. Each of the two bedrooms have a calm and relaxed feel, perfect should you choose to have a long lie in! The bathroom has a shower and bath where you can unwind after a long day adventuring. Outside is a lovely patio area with a table and chairs for alfresco dining. You can light the lanterns, raise a glass and watch the sun go down. In the out-building, you’ll find a laundry/utility room and separate games room with pool table, dartboard and PlayStation. The cottage is perfectly located for you to get out and about and discover all that beautiful North Wales has to offer. Please note that the property has a steep staircase and no ‘child-proof’ measures, e.g. cupboard catches, window opening limiters, etc. but window lock keys and stair gates are available at the property for guests to use. A travel cot and high chair can be found at Cartref for guests bringing young children. Guest access Entire House, rear outside space, plus use of laundry/drying room located in outbuilding. Room for bikes to be locked away in out-building. Other things to note If you’d like to travel by bus, the bus stops are located across the road from the shop (Abergele direction) and approx. 110m along the main road past the pub (Llanrwst direction).
