Private deck, lawn & parking. Bistro seating. Scandi style. Grey, yellow, blue & copper. Scion fabrics, cosy cushions and throws. Comfortable Hypnos bed. White company towels. Fired Earth bedding. Fabulous kitchen. Luxury bathroom. Beaches, walks, shops, cafes and attractions nearby. 5 mins drive to co-op. The space Cabin: Fully insulated, gas centrally heated, double glazed, one bedroom cabin. 48 sqm. Private parking for one vehicle is alongside the property. It has it’s own private deck with built in bench and a small lawn. There’s a bistro table and two chairs to enjoy al fresco dining. Lovely views over the main garden and open countryside. Entering the property via a private entrance, the main living area is an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. Off the living area is a double bedroom and a separate bathroom. The cabin is light, airy and cosy-but is certainly not cramped at 48 square metres. Although it is simply furnished-in a Scandinavian style-warmth has been added with soft cushions and cosy throws and the use of warm yellows. There are oak and copper touches throughout. Rugs adorn the ceramic tiled floor so no cold toes! The bedroom has a bed frame with a Hypnos mattress and Fired Earth softly crinkled cotton bedding, plump pillows and cushions complete the cosy feel. Scion fabric black out blinds ensure no early wake ups. The sounds of nature lull you to sleep and wake you in the mornings. (No Cockerel’s thankfully!) Although double glazed windows help. Compared to traffic filled streets it’s extremely peaceful! After a great nights sleep enjoy the gorgeous bathroom with walk in shower, hand made tiles, quartz marbled counter top, Duravit suite and Grohe fittings-the luxury feel is completed by White Company towels to swaddle yourself in, warming on the towel rail. Complimentary toiletries for the first day are available. In the open plan kitchen, living and dining area, the sleek matte navy handleless kitchen units with white quartz worktop has everything a cook could need. An electric fan oven, grill, microwave and induction hob. A dishwasher means no washing up to spoil your break. There is also a washing machine. Other accessories include a Duravit toaster and kettle and a Lavazza pod coffee maker. This kitchen is fully kitted out with items purchased from quality brands such as John Lewis and Joseph. All the comforts and facilities of home are here. Iron, ironing board and clothes airer are also available should you need them. Enjoy your complementary morning coffee sat on the deck whilst soaking up the gorgeous rural views, listening to birdsong or cows mooing in the back ground. The Cabin is surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. Including rabbits and pheasants happily living the good life on the property. Alternatively enjoy a meal at the dining table indoors or look at the view through the large window. Afterwards snuggle up under a blanket on the sofa and watch the smart TV or curl up with a book and a glass of chilled white or rich red wine. For those of you who need to work from home a good wifi connection is available at the cabin. There is a 4 seat dining table and chairs which can also be used as a desk. If you feel like venturing out, there is lots to entertain you in the local area. Although this peaceful hideaway may feel like it’s “in the middle of nowhere” it is only a few minutes drive or a short walk to a local garage with a well stocked shop and off licence. Get fresh bread, local eggs and other produce here. On various nights of the week fish and chips or fresh made pizzas can be purchased from pop up take aways here. Cornish pasties are available daily. There is also a shop and a cafe in Tregony. The Cabin is only 20 minutes drive to Truro for other shopping or larger supermarkets (including Waitrose, Tescos, Sainsbury’s, Aldi and Lidl some of which will deliver to the property should you prefer). Truro has many restaurants and cafes to suit every taste and budget. Asda can also be found in St Austell. There are also a choice of restaurants, pubs or bars close by including; The Standard In Portscatho, The Barley Sheaf at Gorran, the fabulous Tresanton Hotel restaurant and the St Mawes Hotel bar and restaurant in St Mawes amongst others. There are also several cafes, pubs and other hotels serving good food in the nearby villages of Veryan, Tregony, Portscatho and of course St Mawes, all between 5-20 minutes drive away. St Mawes (20 mins drive) also offers a small Co-op and several cafes, galleries and gift shops-plus a lovely delicatessen. The English Heritage Castle here, is also worth a visit. If you are lucky you might see dolphins in the bay. The Cabin is also a short drive from several wonderful beaches, Portholland, Carne, Pendower, Portscatho, Porthluny at Caerhays and Gorran Haven to name a few. We think the South coast has the best beaches! If you are feeling more active then it is close to several local footpaths and the coast path at nearby Portholland where you can walk to Caerhays or to Portscatho. Alternatively, Heligan gardens, the Eden project or the secret Lamorran gardens are definitely worth a visit for a walk (followed by a generous slice of cake or a cream tea of course!) Another option is to take the King Harry ferry to the National Trust Trelissick gardens. A short drive past Gerrans will take you to the hidden gem Towan Beach with a national trust cafe and car park. If you love being on the water then boats, paddle boards or kayaks can be hired in St Mawes. The foot ferry from St Mawes is an enjoyable trip in itself and will take you to the delights of Falmouth with its shopping, cafes, restaurants, galleries and of course the Maritime museum. Not to mention more glorious beaches. Park in St Mawes. Other more local sights include the beautiful and historic St Just in Roseland church and the short walk to the estuary or a gentle wander around Veryan church yard and pond if you are feeling reflective. Both offer peace and tranquility as well as ancient and historical sights. On a warm day a shaded walk through Pendower woods is a must. In springtime the wild garlic and bluebells are simply wonderful. Whatever your interests staying at The Little Blue Cabin on the Roseland provides a fantastic jumping off point for many fabulous things to do or see, whilst also providing the ideal hideaway to decompress from a busy lifestyle. For those who can “work from home,” this would make the ideal spot to “work” undisturbed. Artists and writers would be inspired by the views, the tranquility and the plethora of nature- not to mention the star filled nights and perfect sunsets. We hope you will consider The Little Blue Cabin for your trip.
