Oceanfront 3 Bedroom Cottage - North Shore

Come unplug and unwind on the beautiful north shore of Nova Scotia. Our cottage is located on seven acres of land and is surrounded by trees; it is difficult to find a more private location than this. It is only an hour and half drive from either the Halifax International Airport or the Moncton International Airport. There is a firepit out front to add to the enjoyment of the cooler evenings. The space The cottage has three bedrooms and a large common area with cathedral ceilings. There is a newly renovated bathroom that includes a shower stall, toilet and sink. Our favourite room in the cottage is a large screened-in room which is perfect for enjoying the early morning sun as well as the late evening breezes. The common area has lots of seating as well as a futon that can serve as an extra queen-sized bed; if it gets chilly at night there are baseboard heaters throughout. There is a well-equipped kitchen that includes a Keurig coffee maker. The cottage is located on a private parcel of land just off the Sunrise trail (Highway 6). With seven acres of land and lots of trees you might not realize there is anyone else in the area. The land extends down to the Northumberland Strait and has a rocky beach that is perfect for walks, finding hermit crabs and clams, and kayaking/canoeing if you are able to bring yours. When we are there we have swam in the cove (there is a bit of seaweed and it is a little rocky) but for swimming with the kids we usually drive 10 km up the road to Blue Sea Corner provincial park which has a beautiful sand beach.
