Charming studio above Freiburg's old town

In our cozy studio "die Holzkiste" [the wooden box], high above the old town of Freiburg, we welcome you to an incomparable place. Our studio, completely made of wood, rebuilt by young Lucerne architects, offers comfort with style. The directly accessible, large garden with private terrace and a large vegetable garden inspires and invites you to relax. The beautiful old town can be reached in 15 minutes on foot or by public transport. Enjoy peace and nature on the rock of Fribourg! The space Our studio "die Holzkiste" is located on the first floor of our house with direct access to the terrace and garden. It is accessed via a path through the garden and completely independent of the rest of the house. The studio includes a very well equipped kitchen, a dining table and a large, very comfortable sofa bed (160 x 200). Depending on your preference, a desk or a leather recliner can also complement the furniture. A crib and high chair for babies/toddlers are available. The studio also includes a spacious entrance area with plenty of storage space as well as a newly renovated bathroom with shower and toilet. These rooms are also separate from the rest of the house and do not have to be shared. The large, private terrace with covered seating belongs to the studio, as well as a large garden with playground, barbecue area and vegetable garden. Guest access The studio is accessible from the parking lot via a public path (sentier des falaises) and then via a private garden path on foot, a total of about 80 m. The entrance is on the side of the large lawn and terrace. Other things to note Whether you need a break or are attending a lecture at the university or traveling with your family, it is very important to us that you feel at home in the "wooden box." Please let us know before arrival which additional furniture you would like. - a small work table and/or a leather recliner - a crib and/or a high chair for children The cushions for all garden chairs and loungers are provided in the wooden pavilion. Dishes and tablecloths for outdoors are located in the dresser in front of the terrace access. A projector with screen is available on request. A public bike station is opposite the bus stop, 5 minutes away by foot.
