The Highland Snug Cottage in Cheticamp

Welcome to THE HIGHLAND SNUG: Our newly built cozy cottage offers both tranquility in a lovely, quiet location as well as easy & fast accessibility to Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The entrance to the Park is a mere stone's throw away and it only takes 15 minutes by car to the world renowned Skyline Trail. Essential services are nearby. The actual listing address is in the LA PRAIRIE area and not in Grand Etang. This is a glitch on Google Maps that we have no power over to correct. The space The cabin with occupancy for 2 adults sits on our 8 acre property and provides a charming and idyllic retreat at the foothills of the Cape Breton Highlands with beautiful vistas towards the mountains. We are situated on a dead end rural road with very little traffic and are conveniently positioned right across from a hiking path leading to the breathtaking Gypsum Mine swimming hole (only 1km away) with access to a myriad of ATV and snowmobile trails. Our charming four-season cottage was constructed as a labor of love by ourselves in 2023, with open concept and vaulted ceilings. It features a Queen size bed, a 32" Smart TV (Bell Fibe TV, Netflix, Prime), high-speed WiFi, a cellphone booster and lots of amenities in the kitchen which is equipped with a cook top, a mini fridge, small microwave and more. A heat pump let's you regulate the heat and air conditioning settings to your individual liking. The bathroom is separated by a door and has a stand up shower. Guest access Guests have their own designated parking space and private entrance to the rental cottage. The cottage will be exclusively yours during your stay and you are welcome to walk around the property and enjoy the views but please note that there are NO CAMPFIRES allowed at any time and also that SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE ENTIRE PROPERTY, this is due to wildfire precautions! Other things to note The property is not suitable for young/unsupervised children due to a large pond in front of the main residence and uneven terrain. Guests can enjoy visiting our 6 laying hens who occupy a large outside pen and coop and their fresh eggs are available upon request and without any charge. Registration Details STR2526D0464
