Description

Welcome to our lovely log cabin in beautiful Snowdonia. Nestled on a hillside in Snowdonia National Park, located in a quiet corner on the outskirts of a Leisure Village. It offers easy access to Snowdonia's mountains, beaches and many tourist attractions. The cabin has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and bunk beds in the other. there is a fully fitted kitchen and cosy lounge area, heating in all rooms and double glazing. It is thoroughly modern with all the facilities you would expect. The space Luna Lodge is a cosy detached log cabin situated in a quiet corner of a leisure village in Snowdonia with a large decking area and lovely views over farmland and distant mountains. The leisure village is ideally located for visits to local areas for walking, biking and just appreciating the lovely vistas Snowdonia has to offer. The Lodge itself is regarded by the village as premier accommodation due to its location on the very edge of the site and large garden area, which is grassed and is available for guests to enjoy. The lane outside is mainly for farm access and is very quiet. The lodge is double glazed, has a modern fitted kitchen, two bedrooms, a cosy lounge with a fireplace and new digital electric heaters are fitted in every room making the lodge very cosy and warm. There is a double bed in the main bedroom with bunk beds in bedroom two which are substantial enough to sleep two children up to 16 years old. To keep our guests cleaning costs to a minimum we ask that they bring their own bath towels, all other towels are supplied as well as bed linen. All the modern facilities you would expect are present. Unlimited WiFi is available for up to ten devices, and there is a smart TV and Blueray player in the lounge area. It's location is perfect, most cabins on the site overlook each other but Luna Lodge is situated on a very quiet corner with unrivalled views over open countryside and mountains and is completely private. On arrival we suggest our guests read the two information books we have composed which will help you enjoy your holiday. We are happy to allow two well behaved dogs in our cabin. Just across the lane there is a safe enclosed dog walking area of around 2 acres allowing dogs to have a good run and sniff around. Guests without dogs can be assured that our cleaners do their very best to clean our Lodge thoroughly. Please note we operate a strict no smoking policy at Luna Lodge. Until now we have used the Lodge for family holidays which have been some lovely and really memorable times, but we have now decided to let it for others to enjoy and appreciate to help with our costs. We particularly like to sit on the decking area which is perfect for chilling and taking in the views, or just kicking back and taking in the dark starry nights which are pretty amazing as Snowdonia is a dark skies area. If you are looking for a comfortable, well appointed and cosy base to explore the area then we feel our cabin will be ideal for you. We really hope you enjoy wonderful snowdonia as much as we do, a perfect antidote to busy city life. Guest access Access to Luna Lodge is via the front door with a key located in a key box mounted outside by the steps to the decking, there are four steps onto the decking itself. The accomodation itself is level as is the surrounding garden. Guests are of course able to use all of the cabin, decking area with seating and lawned garden. There is free off road parking for 2 cars. The leisure village is fully accessible with wonderful views, a management centre containing a small shop, launderette and a lovely cafe. There is a well appointed childrens play area in the middle of the village. Other things to note Luna Lodge is located in a very quiet corner of Snowdonia National Park, an area renowned for it's outstanding natural beauty. The surrounding area benefits from many outdoor activities such as fishing, white water canoeing, golfing, mountain biking and many scenic walking trails at Coed Y Brenin mountain bike centre, which is a five minute drive away and can also be reached by a track from the holiday village avoiding the main road. An extreme mountain biking centre, zip wires, and Bounce Below are located at nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog. Superb white sand beaches can be found at nearby places such as Barmouth, Harlech and Black Rock Sands, close to Porthmadog. The leisure village is well established with many mature trees. There is a childrens play area and a secure dog walking area. There is a small shop for essentials and a well equipped launderette. There is a lovely cafe bar with great views and truly remarkable curry nights! A petrol station is a ten minute drive away with a reasonably well stocked shop. there is a One Stop in Trawsfynnyd village, ten minutes drive away. There is a medium sized CO OP in Dolgellau which is about 20 minutes away, and for your big shop there is a Tescos and Lidl in Porthmadog. EV charging is common in Snowdonia. The nearest charging points are at Caffee Prysor which is 5 minutes drive away, a lovely lakeside cafe with outside seating, superb views and walks around Trawsfynydd lake. For aviation enthusiasts the leisure village is located on the northern approach to the Mach Loop military flight test area and military planes pass through the valley on a daily basis. We've included a couple of information folders in the cabin which gives guests all the info they might need to make the most of their stay, along with brochures for the many attractions Snowdonia has to offer.
