Perfect for a romantic getaway for two, groups or families sleeping up to 11, this beautifully appointed home has everything you need for a slowed down and comfortable escape from the everyday that will make you feel relaxed the moment you enter. The space Close to town, yet so secluded, you feel like you are miles away. Set on 38 acres on a biological farm, overlooking an organic citrus grove and private dam, this is the perfect place to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature. Relax on the wrap-around verandah and listen to the birdsong, doze in front of the open fire and fall asleep to the sound of silence. Carefully crafted and considered, your beautifully distictive escape awaits. We love to welcome our guests with true hospitality, so you will find a gourmet gift platter on arrival complete with a bottle of local wine, local cheese and crackers, homemade citrus marmalade, freshly ground local Stash coffee, a sweet treat and a range of teas and fresh citrus from our farm. Located just 3.5km from Denmark town, as you drive down the farm driveway to Citrus Grove Haus, you find a beautifully curated mud-brick home that is a celebration of natural, earthy materials with a fresh and modern palette to create a restful and grounding escape. Curl up on the large sofa in front of the enormous open-fire place, wine, coffee or book in hand whilst watching the flicker of the flame and let all your stress melt away. Or lounge on the large relaxing day-bed in the internal central sun-room, and meditate or day-nap. And if you need to chill further, you could cuddle up on the other sofa and watch your favourite series on the smart TV (please bring your own log-ins) or play a board game at the games table or a game of pétanque or soccer outside. The options are endless in this large house with multiple seating areas to accommodate everyone. Outdoor seating and relaxing hammock swing-chairs on the verandah look out over the property and is the perfect spot to perch for morning brew or sunset drinks. Our fully-equipped and newly renovated chefs kitchen provides everything for you to cook up a culinary delight and plenty of fridge space will accommodate your locally sourced wine, cheeses and platter goods. The kitchen includes double Miele ovens, large new LG fridge, Miele dishwasher, Delonghi Espresso Coffee Machine, large gas cooktop with Scanpan pots and pans, Thermomix TM31, microwave, Soda Stream, rice cooker, sandwich press, kettle, toaster, basic pantry supplies…all the essentials are included to make your stay comfortable. In addition to the beautiful large stone fireplace, a reverse cycle airconditioning unit in the living room, and additional heaters in the bedrooms, will keep you cosy. A Miele washing machine available for guest use in the laundry, and eco-friendly laundry liquid is provided. At the end of a relaxing day or a day exploring, a bathing sanctuary awaits. Enjoy a long soak in the deep bath tub with views outside, or have a rain shower - with natural hair and skincare products available for you to use, as well as a hairdryer. Bath salts scented with essential oils are provided for you to soak in the tub. In addition to the main bathroom, a second toilet can be found in the separate powder room. Whilst Citrus Grove Haus has been designed to encourage you to reconnect with nature, yourself and loved ones, we also have WIFI for those who need to keep connected. Made from natural mud-brick, the house is designed to be solar passive and low impact. The solar passive design allows sunlight to flood the house through the unique central indoor sunroom, creating an incredibly relaxing and therapeutic space. The mud-brick walls are organically moulded, chemical-free and create a cosy, insulated space providing comfort all year round and the Jarrah timber ceilings add to the earthy yet modern feel. A lot of love and thought has gone into curating our home, so we trust that you will treat it with the same respect and care you would your own. Just minutes from Denmark town, the river and Ocean Beach and 20 minutes from Greens Pool, this is an ideal spot to enjoy the region's pristine beaches, wild coastal walks, quality surf breaks and native bushlands. Close to the numerous walking and mountain-biking trails around Denmark, including the Bibbbulmun and Munda Biddi trails, wineries, cafes, wine bars and stunning world-class beaches…come and explore all this amazing region has to offer. We look forward to welcoming you our sanctuary! Guest access You will have the whole house to yourself and private access to the gardens surrounding the property, as well as some lovely bush walks behind the house on the property and into a national park. Guests can choose for the host to meet them and give you a tour or self check-in at your leisure. Check in is from 3pm and check out is 10am, to allow for a leisurely drive to Denmark and a sleep in on your final day. There is a small cottage close-by that is occasionally used for international farm helpers, but it is used infrequently and will not impact the peace and quiet of your stay as our helpers use an entrance well away from the AirBnB and are committed to maintaining a quiet environment for our guests. The owners live on neighboring property 300 meters up the hill and are available to help should you need anything during your stay. The house has an undercover carport, as well as numerous other parking options for additional vehicles. Beware that we are a working farm and have electric fences for our sheep, chickens, pigs and cows. Please don’t touch any fencing or gates, except where clearly marked for guest use. Please note there are 2 beautiful dams on the property, but for safety reasons there is strictly no swimming or fishing allowed. Please observe your young children at all times and keep them well away from the dams and electric fences. Other things to note Guest Names: Citrus Grove Haus is an ideal getaway for couples or larger groups, including families with the 6-bed bunk room. Please note our rates are based on two guests, so a charge of $30 per person, per night applies for any additional guests. This will be calculated when you add your guest numbers below. We require the full names of all guests staying at the property. If more beds are used than your booking, additional fees will be charged. Wildlife: There is a variety wildlife that call Citrus Grove home, including birds, kangaroos, wild ducks, snakes and lizards. Please keep your distance and do not feed them. Rainwater: As we are on a rural property, our only water supply is lovely fresh rainwater that we then put through a UV filter, giving you the freshest and cleanest water to drink, cook with and bathe in. We ask that you are please careful with your usage as we are not connected to mains water and we don’t have any additional water supply, other than what we can catch and store from the heavens! Please keep showers short and be mindful of not running the water from taps unnecessarily. Fire Safety: The house is beautifully situated on the edge of natural bush, so we are very conscious of fire safety. Therefore, we don’t permit fires outside (there is a large gas BBQ). No smoking or vaping inside or on the verandah please, and candles are not permitted except for those provided for the bath. We do everything we can to reduce the risk of fire. Home care: Cleaning items are provided, and guests are encouraged to clean up after themselves if they leave a mess (dirty floors, dishes etc). Children: We invite families with children to Citrus Grove Cottage, and the house is ideally set up for 2 families to holiday together with two Queen-sized bedrooms and a 6-bed bunk room. However, we request that families are respectful of the space and supervise children at all times to ensure no damages occur within the home, and to ensure the safety of your children outside the home. There are two dams on the property, so your children must not leave the house perimeter without an adult and must be supervised at all times. The safety of your children are your responsibility. Supplies: Our well-equipped kitchen has a range of pantry ingredients available for your use during your stay in the pantry. The town is serviced by a large IGA supermarket, as well as a smaller IGA for everyday needs. There is also an epic health store - “The Green Pantry”, as well as many great cafés, speciality shops, as well as a good selection of restaurants, wineries, pubs and wine bars. There is a market on Sunday mornings at the high school, as well as numerous farm stalls that you will pass on your adventures - especially on Scotsdale Road and Mount Shadforth Road. Events: Strictly no parties. Pre-approval is required for any photoshoots / parties / weddings - please contact us prior to booking to discuss. Pets: Terms and conditions We love our dog and know how lovely it is when he can holiday with us. We also know that not all dogs are as well behaved as our gorgeous Ziggy, so it is with a little trepidation that we invite your well-behaved dog to join you at Citrus Grove Haus. However, we ask that you are very respectful of this privilege and understand that this is only on a pre-approval basis and in accordance with the following conditions: - Dogs must be advised at time of booking and MUST be approved by the owners ahead of your arrival. - Dogs ONLY are allowed and must be quiet natured and not loud/barking dogs. It is the owners responsibility to keep noise to a minimum at all times. Constant barking and/or howling is not acceptable. - We are a working farm with farm animals and we are also surrounded by wildlife, so dogs MUST be kept on a lead and under your control at all times outside of the immediate area around the house. - Strictly No Puppies - dogs must be at least 12 months old and fully house trained. - Maximum of two dogs only. - You must clean up after your dog. Please bring your own doggy-poo bags and remove appropriately. - Please ensure your dog does not arrive with fleas. Please treat your dogs if they are prone to fleas before arrival. - Please wash your dog before you leave on holiday to ensure that “doggy odour” doesn’t linger after you have departed! - Please ensure dogs are clean before coming inside, including cleaning feet in wet weather. Owners will be responsible for the cleaning costs of stained or soiled carpets or furniture. - Dogs are NOT permitted to sit or sleep on ANY furniture or beds during your stay. Any evidence of dogs on furniture or beds will incur dry-cleaning or steam cleaning fees. - Do NOT use the washing machine or dryer for dog beds, blankets , towels or other doggy items. The washing machine and dryer are for human’s laundry only. There is a laundromat in town should you need to wash any doggy-related items!! - Please bring your own clean dog bedding, bowls etc. - Dogs must not be left alone inside at any time - day or night. Please consider the logistics of this before you bring your dog on holidays with you. There are many dog-friendly restaurants, cafes, breweries, wineries, distilleries, beaches, parks etc. - You will be required to pay for any incidental damage or additional cleaning costs should they arise as a result of excess dog hair, hair on furniture, soiling or damage associated with your beloved pooch! BOOKING RESTRICTIONS: Minimum stay is 3 nights standard periods and 5-7 nights in peak, school holiday periods.
