Perfect base to explore the Gers

Situated in the quiet hamlet of Saint-Michel, sandwiched between Mirande and Miélan, come and enjoy the tranquility of the countryside in South-West France. Explore local markets, visit historical sites, play golf, taste local wines, go hiking/cycling, attend local festivals (including the famous Marciac Jazz Festival), have a picnic while enjoying beautiful views of the Pyrenees, relax in our garden - read a book, watch the sunset, sit by the pond and absorb the sights and sounds of nature... The space The gite, which is adjacent to a former working farmhouse, provides lovely relaxing and comfortable accommodation during your visit to the Gers. It comprises of a kitchen/dining area, a large and airy lounge with L-shaped sofa, one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom with a large shower and a separate toilet. There are also toilet facilities in in the bedroom. We have tried to include everything you will need during your stay - bed linens and towels, basic toiletries, hand soap, washing machine, washing powder, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and all the usual kitchenware. Should you need any assistance, we are usually next door in the farm house. Guest access You will have full and independent access to all the rooms in the gite. You may also use the extensive garden and pond area for relaxation. We have provided a BBQ and bistro set should you chose to cook and eat outdoors. Parking is easy - there is plenty of space in front of the gite. Other things to note You will definitely need a car during your stay to allow you to explore the area fully. There is a lovely little boulangerie in Saint-Michel (open every morning except Tuesday) which, as well as providing excellent French breakfast pastries and bread, stocks some basic foodstuff. However, there are several supermarkets (Intermarché, Lidl and Carrefour) and shops in Mirande which is only a ten minute drive from the gite. Please note that, on Sundays, shops are only open in the morning.
