When you're here you're the perfect mix of close-enough and far-away. We are located at the base of the Duffy. Not only does that mean that we're the closest rentals to the Joffre Lakes Provincial Park, we're also just a hop away from this trending & adventure-filled backcountry. Want to finish that screenplay, or work remotely for a spell? Just pop onto our wifi and sip that extra cup of coffee next to a crackling wood stove. Romantic getaway? Swing on the hammock chairs while planning your al fresco BBQ dinner in the fairy-light lined gazebo. Or take the two minute walk down to Lower Joffre Creek with a bottle of bubbles (diamond ring optional, however we've got over a dozen engagements under our belt at this jaw-dropping spot!) Guest access Guests enjoy a picture perfect 800 square foot log cabin that features a private screened gazebo, private sauna, seasonal fire pit, and BBQ. Privacy & solitude are guaranteed, and guests will never be interrupted. When snowing in winter, we may request that guests park down below after dropping off their coolers/suitcases for peace of mind on the steep driveway. This will yield a one minute walk to your car. Other things to note ➔we aren't affiliated with the Joffre Lakes Provincial Park, and don't guarantee park access. This park closes to tourism periodically, please follow BC Parks to ensure you know about closures well in advance. ➔For reasons of liability and insurance, unregistered guests (ie: daytime visitors) are not permitted. For an accurate quote, please ensure you've input the correct party size in your request as our base rate includes up to 2 guests. Please inquire for details about photographers/officiants/caterers etc. ➔we are very dog-friendly; however we are unable to host cats due to allergies ➔access to the bed is via the loft ladder (see pics) ➔use sauna at your own risk and consult a doctor beforehand if pregnant or with a medical condition ➔sauna is available year round, but plunge pool is spring-fall ➔when climbing into the loft, always face the ladder & have three points of contact at all times. Use at own risk. ➔all decking and stairs are wood & become slippery when wet, and may provide splinters. Please wear shoes & don't run. ➔wood burning fires only permitted in accordance with Provincial fire season. When permitted we provide 12-15 pieces of wood per night of your stay and more can be bought at gas stations or the Rona in Pemberton. ➔our driveway enters off the road, so occasional vehicle traffic will be heard.
