Camp Indiana is an our beloved lake chalet-style cabin upstate, 3 hours from NYC, with a gorgeous drive up along side the Delaware River! The cabin is tucked away down a dirt road making it a perfect getaway for one/two couples or a family looking for adventure. Picture starting your day with coffee on the deck, adventuring down the Delaware River, hiking local trails, exploring, and closing the day with a glass of wine by the fire pit under the stars overlooking 100 feet of lake front property. The space Escape to our chalet lake-front cabin in the Western Catskills/Delaware County nestled on beautiful, spring-fed Columbia Lake. Located in Hancock/Deposit, NY with amazing fishing on the Delaware. This is a family friendly, chill with friends type home. Not a party house please! 25 and older can rent. Perfect for a weekend away in nature, relaxing, a writer's retreat, catch up with friends or family time. Insta: @campindiana.ny Main Floor: Living Room/Kitchen 2 small, private bedrooms with doors: >A bedroom with a full sized bed >A small, camping themed, kid's room with two twin beds. Crib also available. A bathroom with tub An expansive deck with both an eating area, lounging area and bbq overlooking the beautiful lake. Ceiling fan and one window AC (although it really doesn't get too hot up at the cabin during the summer - lots of tree shade and the fan usually cools off the space) The kitchen is a great space to cook in, and the main counter looks out over the lake. It comes complete with all essential items you need for cooking! There is a large fridge and freezer, dishwasher, oven, coffee maker (for ground coffee) and a microwave. Loft Floor: A queen bed - open air to living room below. Finished Basement: Finished family room Wood burning fire place Two twin beds that can be clipped together to make a king if need be. Full Bathroom with stand-up shower Washer/Dryer French doors that lead out to a concrete patio under the deck with table & chairs. Outdoor Space: Fire pit with adirondack chairs Lawn games Concrete platform with chairs at the water's edge - great for fishing off of. Hammock Bistro Lights Sandbox Kid's Toys & Life Vests Canoe Peddle Boat Stand Up Paddle Board We have neighbors directly on both sides of us and we are within a lake community of other vacation cabins. Our cabin bumps up against 700 acres of the NYS Columbia Lake Forest. We are along a long, woodsy, dirt road that is beautiful for morning walks around the lake. The dirt road is shared by the other cabins as well. There are beautiful streams along this road that feed into the lake. The town of Deposit is a 2 minute drive down the hill where you can find a basic but stocked grocery store, pharmacy, pizzeria and playground. Larger Oquaga lake is right down the road. Also checkout Cannonsville Reservoir which is 12 miles long and filled with amazing fish.. You can bring your canoe here. Hancock is 8 minutes away and there are kayak and river tube rentals for summer fun! Unclebrothers is a great restaurant/art gallery based in Hancock that has a rotation of amazing NYC chefs up each weekend. Gelato too! Callicoon is a beautiful 40 minute drive, where you can visit the awesome little town, some breweries and our favorite, Seminary Hill Cidery. Callicoon has a great farmer's market on Sundays that we make a morning of. Hip Livingston Manor is 45 minutes away and here you'll find great food and shops and breweries. Check out DaBruce, The Walkout for breakfast, and The Katerskill for Pizza! Roscoe is 35 minutes away, the fly fishing capital and also has some great restaurants and breweries. Binghamton is 30 minutes on the highway and there's a wonderful Discovery Center for kids and a zoo. Guest access You have access to the full house and grounds while you are here! Our outdoor shed will be locked with our personal items. Other things to note HOUSE RULES (Please read before booking) - Guests must sign the Short-Term Rental Agreement prior to their stay at Camp Indiana. We will send this via DocuSign prior to arrival (if you prefer we can also email the .pdf version). - We are a no shoes house. Please leave by the door upon entering. :-) - Pets are on a by approval basis. Please reach out. - No smoking. - No parties or events. Additional fees will be charged for parties or events. - Additional daytime visitors must be announced. - Must be 25 years old to book. - Children (under 18) must be supervised indoors and outdoors at all times. - Please report any damages at check in, any damages after that will fall under your stay. - We have two cameras on property which face the road and lake. No other cameras are in or around the property. -We have bi-weekly lawn care service to ensure that the lawn is manicured and clean feeling!
