Mid Century Modern: Countryside, Culture & Beach
Description
Welcome to perfection, where country tranquility meets cultural adventure. Our beautifully restored 1970's modernist gem is just a short 15-minute train/ car ride to Hastings, St Leonard's, and Rye, and only 1hr15 by train to London. Our home is designed with families in mind. The expansive garden, backing onto picturesque farmland, offers uninterrupted sunset views, making it an ideal spot for outdoor cooking, campfires, and stargazing. If not we have vinyl, cd's, board games and books. The space A classic mid century house that has been lovingly restored, complete with parquet floors and blue bathrooms. The feel is modernist rather than modernised. The house flows inside and out with a u-shaped living space compromising of brand new kitchen, lounge with decorative fire, and dining space. Triple aspect, it is filled with light and doors which open out onto two patios surrounding the house. Enjoy the views of the garden as you cook your meals on the gas bbq complete with hob. We use this most of the year and you are welcome to too. We suggest evenings are spent toasting marshmallows around the campfire as the sun sets over the field. We'll leave some wood for you to get started. Three Oaks village is ideal as we have our own train station that takes you to Hastings, Rye, St Leonard's, Bexhill, Eastbourne and London and a village pub 3 mins walk that serves traditional British food. This home is designed to allow you to enjoy the outdoors, but without the camping part. It’s lovely inside, but more fun when you’re outside. Even better is your proximity to so much great food and culture in the surrounding area. Check out our guide for local beaches, kids activities, amazing food and art. (A separate cabin in the garden is available as a workspace/ additional lounge for an additional cost. It is not included in the price of the main listing). Guest access Guests can arrive 24hours a day as there is a key safe Other things to note This isn’t a place for loud parties of any type. This is our home, please treat it with respect.
