Luxury cottage with private hot tub on the Wolds

Luxury holiday cottage with hot tub, within easy walking distance of cosy local pub (2 minutes) and the Yorkshire wolds way. Located in the village of South Cave, Oak Cottage is a stunning holiday cottage set in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. Built in the early 1800’s, the original cottage has been transformed into a luxurious and cosy, oak filled space, with stunning open plan kitchen, extending out through bi-fold doors to a secluded hot tub and seating The space The cottage is located within walking distance of the famous Yorkshire Wolds Way, the local pubs and cafes, as well as being in close proximity to multiple wedding venues. The beautiful (and now becoming quite famous) little wold vineyard is a 30 minute walk away through the woods from the property, and there is a stunning 8km circular walk up through the woods taking in two stunning local pubs on the route, the fox and coney and the Triton (photos in the listing). It is also in easy access of Hull (15 minutes by car), York (40 minutes) and Beverley (20 minutes) and a little further afield, (approx. 1 hour) are Leeds and the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. Our main aim when renovating the property was to make it as beautiful, comfortable and luxurious as possible. There is underfloor heating throughout the downstairs (and upstairs bathroom), the main bedroom has a gorgeous super king Joules bed, there are 100% cotton robes and slippers for the hot tub and oak features throughout. We have tried to keep the environmental impact of the property in mind when renovating the cottage. The cottage is powered by an air source heat pump, which uses renewable energy from the air instead of burning fossil fuels, significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the property and we have used as many local and British made brands as possible. We are so proud of it and have put a lot of love into transforming it into what we feel is the perfect place to spend some time relaxing, unwinding, enjoying and exploring. The space As you walk through the door you will find Original Style floor tiles and an oak floored lounge, complete with an oak beamed ceiling, Morris and Co wallpaper Pooky lighting lamps, quirky Joules sofas, and a Stovax log burner, all which are perfect for cosy evenings in. There is a large SMART TV, so you are welcome to sign into your Netflix account, or other media platforms. The lounge leads through into an open plan kitchen, breakfast bar, dining and seating area, with under floor heating, so you can step straight through the bi-fold doors into the hot tub and back in again stepping from the cold floor around the hot tub onto the warm cosy floor inside. The hot tub area is completely private, so you can relax in the hot tub, knowing that only the other people you are staying with can see you. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped complete with Emma Bridgewater mugs and LSA colourful glasses, with white quartz work tops Nespresso coffee machine (we have left a few pods so you can have a coffee on arrival), Belfast sink, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer under unit lighting and a stunning Stoves blue oven. As you go upstairs up the solid oak staircase, there are two stunningly decorated bedrooms, complete with wardrobes, dressing tables and comfy beds. The front bedrom has a beautiful magnolia and chip murial on the back wall and a Joules superking bed. The second bedroom, has deep blue pannelling, quirky animal print curtains, and a comfy double bed, as well as wardrobe and dressing table. The upstairs features a stunning marble and wood effect bathroom, with a luxurious deep free standing bath and rainfall shower. The small print! The property is on a road, so parking is on the roadside outside the cottage. It hasn’t caused us too much of an issue when living along the road, however it is worth being aware of. Also, the cottage is very old, and old properties were not designed to be soundproof unfortunately! Having said that the neighbours are pretty quiet on both sides, so shouldn’t cause too much of an issue, but again, worth mentioning.
