A Criscada is a house renovated in 2019 with bioconstruction, maintaining our respect for the environment by using local and natural materials With wonderful views of the Serra do Suido, some mornings, if you are an early riser, you can even see a roe deer on the edge of the forest from the impressive windows of the house and from here you can venture along several of the region's hiking trails; Sendeiro das Greas, Fraga do Barragán Foxo do Lobo, Ruta dos Chozos, etc). The space The architecture of the old farmhouse is part of its enjoyment, with a loft style of open spaces and traditional stone walls, mud walls and lime floors, all worked by local artisans to achieve a house in which health and well-being prevail and in which the traditional is fused with the most contemporary style. With large windows in the different areas of the house, the views of the forest, the valley with the village of Ventín or towards the Serra do Suido are spectacular. Guest access The house has three floors, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have a double bed and the third has a Montessori bed for children. It also has a beautiful outdoor terrace with views and a farm with chestnut and oak trees in which we have a good barbecue. In winter, the stay is super comfortable thanks to the underfloor heating in all rooms, thus maintaining the same temperature for the whole house with the aerothermal system as an energy source. Other things to note The first option is to enjoy the house and its views and not take a car for days, if only to get to the beginning of one of the wonderful routes of the Serra do Suido, where you can walk among native forests listening only to birds or the flow of river water, but from here you have some of Galicia's "must-visit" areas just a stone's throw away; 10 minutes away is Pontecaldelas, a pretty village to eat in or with large supermarkets. In 30 minutes you can get to Pontevedra and in a little more you will be in Combarro. From there, the beaches of Sanxenxo or A Lanzada are only about 15 minutes away, depending on traffic. Vigo is 35 minutes away and Bayonne is about 50 minutes away. In Vigo you can take the boat that takes you to the Cies Islands National Park and of course, you will leave some day for the must-see visit to Santiago de Compostela and the north of Portugal, approximately an hour's drive away enjoying the scenery, either inland or the incredible Rías Baixas.
