''Pajara Marinaia'' is located on the cliff south of Castro near Cala dell'Acquaviva. The ancient Salento liama, facing the sea, consists of a double bedroom, a kitchen equipped with all amenities, a large bathroom, a large terrace with pergola and private infinity pool, with sea view. The house also has private access to the sea, the descent of which is easy thanks to stone stairs The space The Salento liama is an ancient rural building erected with the dry stone wall technique. It is a variant of the more widespread “pajaru”, a building similar to the classic Apulian trullo, and is characterized by a quadrangular base structure and a roof made of stone slabs. These buildings were used as temporary shelter or storage, but during the summer the farmers moved there to be able to dedicate themselves to the field throughout the day, from dawn to dusk. While maintaining its original architectural features, the ancient dwelling ''Pajara Marinaia'' was completely restored and renovated between 2023 and 2024 by artisans faithful to the old techniques of stone and tuff processing. Respecting its traditions, but embracing new styles, designs and innovations, making it even fresher, brighter, more minimal, hospitable… a perfect home for those who love to live immersed between the sea and the colors of Salento. Guest access Private parking behind the house Access to the house for guests is through a main entrance that leads directly to the living area. Visitors can conveniently park in the private parking lot located at the back of the house, accessible via a side street. From there, you can easily reach the main entrance on foot. The parking lot offers enough space for multiple vehicles, ensuring comfort and safety during your stay.
