Welcome to Serene Evergreen – A spacious townhome in the heart of Cuchara with mountain views and a fireplace. Located in a peaceful area overlooking the Cuchara Mountain Park, this 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom getaway is ideal for families and friends looking to enjoy the Cuchara Valley, explore the San Isabel National forest, and retreat to nature. Unwind around the wood burning fireplace, admire the scenery from the two private decks and prepare for your outdoor adventures! The space Cuchara sits at an elevation of 8,468 feet. In the summer enjoy hiking, fishing, water sports, golf, disc-golf, miniature golf, biking and climbing. In the winter you will find snowshoeing, sledding, cross-country skiing, downhill access and more if the weather permits! Nestled among pine trees and aspens off the Panadero Loop, Serene Evergreen is the perfect balance of tranquility and the pursuit of nature. Totaling over 1,900 square feet, this 3-story townhome provides your gathering ample room to enjoy. • Bedrooms: The two upstairs bedrooms contain brand new, king, Casper memory foam mattresses with cozy bedding to ensure your comfort. Each sleeping area has closet space to help you settle in and white noise machines. The walk-out basement is considered the third bedroom with two queen sized beds (Tuft and Needle memory foam and Serta) with additional plush bedding. Fans are provided for all bedrooms. Please note the townhouse does not have air conditioning but the mild mountain temperatures and outdoor breeze provide nice airflow in the warmer months. • Bathrooms: One bathroom is located on the primary floor (with kitchen and living room) and is complete with a walk-in shower. The upstairs bathroom is a jack-and-jill layout with each room having its own sink. The basement bathroom is a full bath with a bathtub / shower combination. Towels, shampoo/ conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, tissues and hair dryers are provided. • Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen contains an electric stove, dishwasher, and microwave for your cooking pleasure. Supplied with a coffee maker, toaster, Instapot, tea kettle, dishes, glasses, wine glasses, utensils, pots/pans, and bakeware. The dining area provides for seating at a table and island bar area. • Living Space: The kitchen, dining area, and living room are connected so everyone can gather comfortably. The living area contains a sectional sofa, wood burning fireplace and leads out to a second story deck with stunning mountain views. The basement (third bedroom) contains a second living space with a couch, game table, work hook up and a walk-out deck for more outdoor enjoyment. • Washer/Dryer: available for use with laundry detergent and dryer sheets provided. Iron and board are in the basement. • Games and puzzles are available for your family and friends to enjoy. • Wi-Fi: Free wi-fi (fiber internet) is accessible throughout the house. PLEASE NOTE we're located in a mountain town where the weather can be extreme and interfere with service. Cell service reception is varied with provider. Please plan for this. • Private Outdoor Areas: Step outside onto the two private decks and immerse yourself in the tranquility of the mountains. Enjoy your morning coffee with the sunrise or unwind with a glass of wine in the evening as you stargaze under clear mountain skies. • Parking: A one car attached garage is available for use. Additional parking is in front of the townhouse units. • Pet Policy: 1 – 2 dogs are allowed with prior approval. The unit is thoroughly cleaned between every stay. However, if you are allergic to dogs, we cannot guarantee an allergen free environment. Pets must be leashed at all times due to the wildlife and surrounding people in the area. • Location: Cuchara is a hidden Colorado gem! Located near the San Isabel National Forest with views of the West Spanish Peak. It is located about 3 hours south of Denver and 2 hours south of Colorado Springs. An ideal escape from the noise and pace of urban life. • Overview of distance to popular areas: *Cuchara Mountain Park and Mercantile – 1.4 miles (Disc golf, miniature golf, hiking, mountain biking, snow sports, cafe/store) *Town of Cuchara – 2.9 miles, 6 minutes (including The Dog Bar and Grill, The Yacht Club, Lokal Perks, Dakota Dukes gift shop) *La Veta – 14 miles, 20 minutes (Closet gas stations, Charlie’s Market, Mountain Merman Brewing Co, Alys Restaurant, La Veta Mercantile, Skinny’s Diner and Bar) *Grandote Peaks Golf Course – 14 miles, 20 minutes *Sand Dunes National Park -78 miles – 1 hour 30 minutes *Highway of the Legends – south of town along Colorado 12 to Cuchara Pass • Travel Delay/ Cancellation: Weather conditions in Colorado can change with very little warning and be extreme. Guest understands and accepts this travel related risk. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund outside of our cancellation policy timeline. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) exists to ensure that Colorado has a safe transportation system by maintaining interstates and highways. Please check the CDOT website for weather and road conditions. Guest access The front door has a smart lock for easy entry. You will receive the home address and a unique key code a couple of days before your stay. For safety, key codes are automatically deleted from the lock after each stay. Once inside, you will have access to the entire home with the exception of the owner’s / cleaning supply closets. Other things to note Please plan ahead with your groceries and needed belongings before arrival due to the secluded nature of the community of Cuchara. Wood is not provided, so please bring it with you if you plan to use the fireplace. Cuchara is a seasonal town. Please check ahead with stores and restaurants if you hope to visit outside the summer season. Discounts are provided for week and longer stays. In the winter, snow is plowed only when 6” fall. Guests may need to shovel snow from the entrance.
