Dine indoors or on the patio under the overhang. One guest chose to sleep outdoors under the stars! Surrounded by meadows and large trees, Fort Travis is adjacent to a main arterial road off the island, making it super convenient but not a silent oasis in the middle of nowhere (there is road noise, which I liken to a babbling brook). A number of points of water access/view are walkable within 20 minutes. A dog lives at Fort Travis but you might never know -- between the air filter and roomba.
