The space The Old Bookshop is in a grade 11 listed building located on the left a few doors down from No. 23 restaurant at the beginning of the residential part of High Street East. Entry through front door into wood floored living area which is lined with bookshelves brim full of books to suit all tastes. A large flat screen TV opposite a comfortable knoll sofa. More shelves and more books lead to the kitchen area comprising Fridge, Dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, Air fryer, electric kettle, single hob and Dualit Toaster. Circular Lloyd Loom table and chairs opposite Up one step to the carpeted bedroom, again bookshelves and many books. New king size bed with Simba mattress. Pretty silk blind to the window. Immaculate Shower room is fully tiled with spacious walk-in shower, Loo and large basin, generous towels and toiletries supplied. Uppingham Town is noted for its 16th-century houses and public school. It is blessed with a range of speciality shops and quality eating places fine antique shops and world class art gallery. Further afield Rutland Water gives hours of pleasure to our lucky visitors, birdwatching, walking, picnicking, fishing or having a dip at the Aqua Park and cycling. 6 miles from Uppingham is Oakham, now boasting a superb, and the first in England, Statue of the Late Queen Elizabeth. Very good for sumptuous food and stylish shopping. Home to Elizabeth Stanhope Interiors with a fabulous showroom in the Old Fire Station on Mill Street. Guest access Access - The passageway on the left of the property leads you to a keypad on the wall on the right (roughly 12 - 14 metres) Please return the keys to the keypad upon departure. Check in - 3pm Check out - 11am Other things to note The Books. … The books are there for our guest's enjoyment so please browse and should you find yourself half way through a paperback murder mystery when its time to leave, then please take it with you with our compliments. I’m always delighted to accept donated books to fill the spaces. Please don’t take hardback books away. Free wifi, Netflix and Amazon Prime On street parking is normally available (busier than usual on Friday - market day) However if there are no spaces outside the property Uppingham boasts a number of car parks just a stones throw away I’m sorry, but no pets
