Just 5 minutes from the famous harbour village of Port Isaac and a short stroll from the wonderful St Kew Inn, The Beech Hut is the perfect little escape for couples looking to slow down, explore North Cornwall and enjoy a little time away from the everyday. 🛁 Soak under the stars One of the best things about staying at The Beech Hut is your private wood-fired hot tub. As evening falls, light the fire, settle into the warm water and listen to the stream flowing nearby. Look up through the branches of the beech tree, watch bats flying overhead and, on clear nights, enjoy a sky full of stars. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring Cornwall. 🌳 Your own cosy hideaway The Beech Hut is a cosy, characterful cabin with a comfortable king-size bed, private decking overlooking the garden, a log burner and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Inside you'll find a well-equipped kitchen with an electric hob, microwave/convection oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, along with a Smart TV, Wi-Fi, books, DVDs and board games for cosy evenings in. A starter supply of logs is provided for the log burner. Additional kiln-dried hardwood logs are available to purchase, including the logs needed to heat the hot tub. 🌿 A garden full of nature The Beech Hut sits within a beautiful, spacious garden where you can slow down and reconnect with nature. Listen to the stream, spot barn and tawny owls, watch the birds and butterflies, relax in the hammock or wander down to dip your toes in the water on a warm day. The garden is shared with guests staying at The Loft, but its generous size means there are plenty of peaceful corners to enjoy your own space. You rarely see anyone else in the garden. 🍴🍷 St Kew Inn — just a short stroll away One of our favourite things about staying here is having the lovely St Kew Inn within walking distance. Enjoy great food and a drink, then simply stroll back to The Beech Hut afterwards — no driving required. We’re also Cornish locals and love sharing our favourite beaches, hidden coves, walks, pubs and places to eat. Whether you fancy a day on the sand, a coastal walk, a spot of surfing or simply watching the sunset, there is plenty to explore. ⚓ Harbours & villages Wander around the famous harbour at Port Isaac, explore the cobbled streets and restaurants of Padstow, discover picturesque Boscastle or head to Rock and take the scenic ferry across to Padstow. 🌿 Gardens, walks & nature From the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan to Pencarrow, Lanhydrock, Cardinham Woods and the beautiful walks and waterfalls of North Cornwall, there is something for nature lovers and walkers throughout the area. 🏰 History & attractions Explore legendary Tintagel Castle, discover the fascinating history of Bodmin Jail or enjoy a leisurely cycle along the Camel Trail. 🐾 Bring your four-legged friend One well-behaved dog is welcome, so you don't have to leave your best friend behind. A £25 dog fee applies. We kindly ask that dogs stay off the furniture and out of the bedroom. A few things to know The Beech Hut is accessed via a garden path and has a spiral staircase to the bedroom, so unfortunately it isn't suitable for guests with limited mobility. A car is essential due to our peaceful rural location. The hot tub is private and exclusively yours during your stay. ❤️ Your Cornish escape awaits Come and slow down beneath the beech tree, soak under the stars, explore beautiful North Cornwall and enjoy a glass of wine after a day of adventures. The Beech Hut isn't just somewhere to stay — it's a little experience of Cornwall. We can't wait to welcome you. 🌿 Guest access The Beech Hut is accessed by the garden path, cars can be parked nearby in the driveway. Guests can explore the garden and dip toes in the cooling stream on hot sunny days. The Beech Hut is separate and not overlooked by the house or neighbours and being fully self-contained it has everything needed for your stay. The garden is spacious and serene, offering plenty of room to unwind. While it is shared with guests in the Loft, its generous size and peaceful atmosphere ensure you’ll always find your own quiet corner to enjoy. Other things to note Sadly the Beech Hut is not suitable for those with limited mobility due to the spiral staircase up to the bedroom. The woodburner is the main source of heating, you'll be surprised how quickly it heats up. There is also a heated towel rail in the bathroom. We provide a starter of logs (the fire place will be lay for your arrival). After this we have logs you can purchase, we do not make money on these logs. We use Kiln dried Hardwood from a local company. We also have kindling and firelighters available to purchase. Wood is priced at £30 cash per wheelbarrow and includes around 30 logs and a bag of kindling. For the hot tub, logs will need to be purchased. The hot tub takes around 1-2 bags (10-20 logs) of hard wood logs, depending on the time of year. If you use the hot tub again much of the heat will be retained and so will need fewer logs.
