The Roxton House Guest Cottage

Escape to quiet country living. Guests have access to the entire house and yard. The house built in 1894 was one of the first in Roxton. Roxton’s population is 548, no stop light. Roxton Chaparral Trail is 126 yds from the house. Rock Falls Park is 1/4 of a mile N. It is a favorite place to take pictures. Roxton has bank , 24 hr ATM, PO, Cafe, City Drug Store and Chaparral museums , pay at pump gas station and library. A 15 mile drive to downtown Paris and 20 mile to major shopping area. The space The house has a full kitchen, dining room and living room. One bedroom with queen size bed with full bath with shower, and other bedroom has two full beds, all new mattresses. Hall bathroom with clawfoot tub. Sunroom with hideaway bed. Large shaded front porch with rocking chairs, perfect for morning coffee. Guest access We have two parking areas, one in the front on the Baptist Church parking lot. The second one is in the back where we share the driveway with the Food Pantry. We have a smart key entry pad on front and back doors. The same code will work on both. The code will be sent to you before check in. If you have any problem getting in , we are just a few minutes away. I’ll be glad to help with any problems. Other things to note This turn of century Texas style house still retains a lot of the character and style represented when it was built in 1894. The front room windows are original. The town was relocated in the 1887 to be near the railroad. The Roxton House serves as a guest cottage for visitors, whether to see family or friends, romantic getaway or just a fun relaxing weekend . Ladonia Fossil Park, Bois d-Arc Lake, Pat Mayes Lake and Cooper Lake are less than thirty minutes away. The house was the first bed and breakfast in Roxton.
