Located in Newport, Tennessee, our home offers a great balance of peaceful surroundings and nearby attractions, just a short drive from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Great Smoky Mountains. Bring your boat and launch at Walter’s Bridge (less than a mile away), then tie up at our private dock for easy access throughout the day. If you prefer a slower pace, enjoy kayaking, fishing, or simply relaxing on the calm, scenic water. The space Our home sits right on the shores of Douglas Lake, offering a unique year-round getaway. Lake levels are at their highest from May through early to mid-August, giving you true lakefront access during the summer. From late August until early May, the water recedes, but the setting is still beautiful — especially in the fall, when the mountains burst with color. The house features three bedrooms and an open floor plan that connects the kitchen and living room, creating a perfect space for gathering. Outside, you’ll find a fire pit ready for cozy bonfires, roasting marshmallows, and making s’mores under the stars. Guest access Entire house is for your use, with the only exception being the garage. Other things to note Douglas Lake is managed by the TVA, so water levels naturally rise and fall throughout the year. From May through early to mid-August, the lake is full and stretches right up to the backyard. Starting around Labor Day, levels begin to drop — making fall and winter the perfect seasons to enjoy the stunning mountain foliage and explore the charming nearby towns.
