Description

Riverside Cottage is a charming three-story, mid-terrace Victorian home nestled on the edge of the River Avon in the historic market town of Tewkesbury. Located in the heart of town, it’s just a short walk from Tewkesbury Abbey, as well as a variety of local shops, pubs, and restaurants. My wife and I look forward to welcoming you and ensuring you have a wonderful stay. The property includes one parking space suitable for a standard vehicle. The space Riverside Cottage comprises: An entrance hall/dining area with wonderful river and Tewkesbury Ham views, leading to a small hall with the stairs to the left and through to the Lounge. This room has patio doors to the rear and a doorway leading to the well equipped kitchen. From the kitchen, a door leads to the rear courtyard garden. On the first floor is the main bedroom with views over the River Avon and Ham. This floor has two separate bathrooms. The main bathroom is equipped with a sink, toilet, roll top bath and separate shower cubicle. The other bathroom has a sink, toilet and separate shower cubicle. Ascending the steep staircase to the second floor provides access to the two further bedrooms. Both double rooms, the front room with river views, the rear bedroom with views of Tewkesbury Abbey. The courtyard garden is accessed through the lounge patio doors or kitchen door. Crossing a communal path and up a few steps gives access to the private courtyard with private seating. Guest access Guests can use all the space in Riverside Cottage. The loft is not accessible. The rear courtyard garden is accessible Other things to note EATING & DRIKING OUT There is a great array of pubs in Tewkesbury to choose from (currently 16) whether you want a quiet drink to admire the view or your first priority is the taste of your pint. The Famous White Bear currently holds the CAMRA title for the town and is celebrated for the quality of its beers and ciders and the Black Bear is reputed to be the oldest pub in Gloucestershire. Several pubs sit right on the river providing an ideal venue to relax and enjoy the surroundings and most serve food ranging from sandwiches and rolls through to three course meals. In Tewkesbury, you will find restaurants (over 16 alternatives) to cater for every taste. Alongside traditional roast dinners and fish and chips you can opt for pizza, pasta and a host of other Italian delights. You can spice it up in the wide variety of Asian-inspired restaurants or celebrate a special occasion with a bottle of wine at fine dining restaurants in town.
