The space The room is located in Casa MarBella, a boutique style hotel in Santa Teresa, situated on a mountain slope on the Pacific Coast. The casa provides panoramic ocean views and is surrounded by jungle. It’s centrally located in the jungle town and is within walking distance to stores and some of the notable restaurants in the area. Most importantly, you can walk to the beach in 5 minutes (Playa Carmen). - The Room - The Luxury Condos spanning two levels (130 m²/ 1500 ft²), offer the most space and privacy of all the typology of rooms. It comes with three bedrooms, cathedral ceilings, A/C, two private bathrooms, large fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious private terrace with ocean view. One of the Condos has 1 king bed, 1 queen bed, and 2 twin beds; in the other it has 1 king bed and 4 twin beds. This room has optimal living space for small groups and families. The room overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is just a few steps away from the infinity pool. The décor of room is a minimalist approach with a tropical touch. It accommodates up to six people. - The Hotel - The hotel is essentially 1 grand villa consisting of 8 separate and unique units surrounding an infinity pool overlooking the coast (“sunset view”) and the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, the first national park in Costa Rica. It has 4 different typologies of rooms for your different needs and group sizes. It offers unique accommodation in Santa Teresa for those seeking the service, safety, and privacy of individual hotel rooms, yet the intimacy of a private villa. Reservations can be made for individual hotel rooms or for full hotel rental, depending on what you are looking for. Although, the area itself is renowned for its consistent surf breaks which some are within walking distance from the property, there are plenty of other attractions that draw guests. These include hiking, yoga, canopy tours, dining, and so much more. We even have our own private ocean view yoga terrace, where we keep mats for private practice. You don’t even need to leave the hotel to enjoy watching wildlife in their natural habitat. Amongst others, you can see howler monkeys, iguanas, and a variety of bird species. You will have exclusive access to the bedroom and its private bathroom. Additionally, you will have shared access to all hotel common areas, which include the Infinity Pool and Whirlpool, Sun Deck, Ocean View Yoga Deck, Honor Bar Area and Reception Area. Other things to note - A 4x4 is highly recommended for the roads in the area and to get up our hill - We have 2 Luxury Condos at the hotel. One of the Condos has a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in the 2nd bedroom, and 2 twin beds in the 3rd bedroom. The other Condo has a king bed in the master bedroom and 2 twin beds in each the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. Both Condos can sleep up to 6 people. When you book, we will send you a message with which Condo is available and the bed configuration. Also, the photos we have included are a mix of both Condos. Casa MarBella Covid-19 preventive measures: Dear valued guest, In this time of uncertainty with the progression of the COVID-19 outbreak, Casa MarBella assures you that your safety and comfort remain our prime concern. Our thoughts are with those who are affected by this virus and those who are caring for them. Below you will find an update on what we are doing to ensure your wellbeing when you stay with us. These measures were implemented in accordance with the Center for Control Disease (CDC), and local and national health authorities. Guest & Employee Health: Antibacterial hand-sanitizing stations placed throughout public areas with additional signage reminding everyone of important health and hygiene protocols such as handwashing and physical distance. Physical contact will be minimized and touchless greetings will be encouraged. Employee Protocols: All of our staff have received thorough training on our enhanced protocols, in addition to training on identifying any flu or virus-like symptoms and following a firm procedure on reporting to a medical official. Furthermore, employees will be closely monitored for any symptoms (including a temperature reading) on a daily basis, and will be required to wear the appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) based on their roles and responsibilities. They have also been instructed to stay home if not feeling well, and do not require a doctor’s note. Cleaning Protocols and Sanitation: We use cleaning products that are approved for use and effective against viruses, bacteria and other airborne and bloodborne pathogens. We have increased the frequency of deep-cleaning and disinfecting all common areas, public spaces and guest rooms (in addition to back of house areas) with an emphasis on high-contact surfaces such as front desk check-in counters, door handles, public bathrooms, room keys and locks, handrails, tables, seating areas, pool chairs and more. Additionally the frequency of air filter replacement and HVAC system cleaning has been increased. Physical Distancing: Guests and employees are instructed to practice physical distancing by standing 1,8 meters away from other groups who are not traveling with them. Moreover, the use of common areas will be limited and may need to be reserved in advance. Guest Experience: Every step of the guest’s journey has its own set of defined protocols that will ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees, while maintaining the level of service that you have come to expect. For your convenience below you will find a brief summary of things you should be aware of when preparing for your arrival. We encourage you to contact us if you have any additional questions. Beach hours: Until July 11th they will only be open daily from 5 am to 9:30 am. Driving restrictions: There are some driving restrictions in place depending on your license plate. However, if you have proof of having a hotel reservation you can drive on the restricted days. Sanitary filter: You will be asked to have your temperature measured with an infrared thermometer. Any person presenting a fever (38°C) will be denied entrance in the hotel premises. We will also ask you to please remove your shoes and leave them at the entrance. Hotel public areas: Areas such as the pool and the yoga deck might have different operating hours than normal. Additionally they have a maximum capacity and depending on the hotel occupancy, might need to be reserved in advance. Furthermore, the use of pool towels is mandatory for our loungers. Guest Rooms: In order to avoid unnecessary contact with surfaces, we have removed some decorative items in the rooms as well as unnecessary bedspreads, pillows and things alike. The light daily cleaning service is optional. Our front desk staff will ask you upon arrival if you want this service or not. Frontdesk services: Please note that operating hours might be different. Physical access to the reception area might be limited. Additionally contactless payment methods are preferred.
