Stunning Cotswold Coach House Opposite Open Fields
Stunning Cotswold Coach House Opposite Open Fields
Description
At the centre of one of the Cotswolds’ most charming locations off the village green in Adderbury, The Old Coach House is a newly refurbished and interior designed two bedroomed barn with plenty of parking. Allowing for 4 guests, the space is suitable for couples seeking a peaceful break as well as families looking for a welcoming space for children. Adderbury is the perfect base from which to explore the Cotswolds within close proximity to Soho Farmhouse, Blenheim Palace & Daylesford. The space The coach house is a cosy, charming, self-enclosed two storey barn opposite open gorgeous fields for dog walking and play, as well as being located off a large village green. Whilst the property has capacity for 4 adults, we are more than happy to provide a travel cot and high chair for a baby as additional extras. Dogs are very welcome - we just ask that no dogs climb on furniture, that all four legged friends be towelled dry before entering the property and that your own dog beds be brought along for your visit (two dog bowls are provided!). Whist the coach house does not have a garden, the front door is located opposite stretches of gorgeous fields, and benefits from also being a 1 minute walk to the village green. There are several fantastic circular walks around the bustling village and neighbouring countryside, as well as a boutique coffee shop Harper's opposite to the house selling delicious cakes, breakfasts and lunches - the perfect way to round off a long walk through the nearby fields! Soho Farmhouse is 20 minutes drive from the property, as is the historic site of Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, with Daylesford Farm and Kingham within 30 minutes drive. There are local buses from the village, which go direct into Banbury (10 mins away) and Oxford (35 mins), with the closest train station being Banbury or Kings Sutton. For shops / potter in the day / potential itinerary: - Woodstock is lovely (No.5 is a lovely clothes shop everyone loves!) and lots of other boutiques - 20 mins. - Blenheim is right next door if you wanted a walk or have children (see children's activities above). - Lunch in Charlbury - nearby quintessential village. You can't beat The Bull - you'd need to book ASAP as v popular! If not, The Bell is lovely also (ask to sit by the fire in the restaurant) and has large open garden with outdoor bar, pizzas etc - set away from the pub at the end of the car park. Stow on Wold is also lovely for shopping and potter (about 35 mins from here) - you're quite near Kingham over there where you have The Wild Rabbit pub. I'd probably go there for a drink and then go onto The Kingham Plough for lunch but both pubs are lovely. Request a table in the bar in either. Rabbit gets v booked up in advance but Plough I actually prefer just less touristy. Daylesford Farm Shop is 2 mins from Kingham and 10 mins from Stow gorgeous large farm shop v v popular! Can eat / drink there also. Any of the above pubs are lovely for dinner also but would work well for lunches as they have things to see / do nearby. In terms of more local dinners, RH England is v nice 10 mins from here - v smart manor house type set up - concierge drop your car out front. More formal but stunning and the new bistro there is supposed to be cosy & lovely - exceptional food (say you're local and you'll get 30% off during the week). Deps what vibe you're after. Falkland Arms in Great Tew is the cosiest pub you'll find (20 mins from here) - food is average but v popular with tourists as so cosy. There is a lovely walk to the RH side of the pub you can do whether the circular version or not then drink after as an alternative. If you want nearer for dinner The White Horse Kings Sutton in the bar is lovely too - 10 mins away (but The Bull and Bell in Charlbury are more authentic Cotswolds vibes I'd say - 25 mins away). Let me know if you need anything else!x Guest access Access to The Old Coach House is via its own Ground Floor entrance, next-door to our property. The bunk bed room is situated on the Ground Floor, with stairs leading up to the Master Bedroom, Lounge, Kitchen & Bathroom. The house is located opposite gorgeous open fields for dog walking and play, and is located just off a gorgeous village green. Other things to note 32 inch internet TV with Netlix, Amazon Prime etc.
