Home in Hermeray

Recently renovated farmhouse. It is located in a hamlet open to the forest. Our house is spacious and suitable for large families as well as reunions for several couples. It is equipped to accommodate in a winter atmosphere with its large living room dining room illuminated by a beautiful fireplace as in summer with its large garden. You will find a haven of peace in the forest of Rambouillet, a few minutes from Gazeran station which serves Versailles & Paris in 20 and 35 minutes. The space The house has been renovated throughout the last 4 years. The door frames were changed in 2023. The house is very bright summer and winter and the environment is quiet and peaceful. The house consists of: - on the garden floor, on one level: an entrance serving the kitchen, a bedroom (bed of 180), a bathroom, a toilet and a large living room, dining room with fireplace. - upstairs a large landing-game room, a shower room with toilet, a children's bedroom, a couple's bedroom (140 cm bed), a couple's bedroom (180 cm bed) and a dormitory (two super beds placed in 80 x 200). You will have access to the entire house with the exception of cabinets condemned for the storage of our personal belongings. This is our daily home, it is equipped as a family home. We do not have a TV. For short bookings (less than one week), I do not empty all closets in the rooms and kitchen. Storage is available in every bedroom. A storage column is also available in the kitchen. The cabinet freezer and some closets in the house remain "private". In summer, while sheets are provided and beds are made, towels are not provided. Outside you will find something to enjoy the garden, armchairs, sun loungers, plancha,... The pool is only open in summer and has a filtering system and a pump, however it must be maintained and treated on a daily basis and we cannot guarantee the absence of water problems following use, maintenance and weather. Our accommodation is not accessible to people with reduced mobility. For your safety and the protection of the accommodation, an outdoor surveillance camera is installed at the entrance. It only records the arrival at the house. Guest access You will have access to the entire house with the exception of the closets used for the storage of our personal belongings. This is our everyday home, it is equipped like a family home. We don't have a TV. For short bookings (less than a week), I don't empty all the closets in the bedrooms and kitchen. Storage space is available in every room. A storage column is also available in the kitchen. The fridge and freezer are available but I can (for a weekend) leave some food in a closed box in the fridge so as not to spoil. The freezer cabinet as well as some cupboards in the house remain "private". The pool is set up in the summer and has a filtering system, however it must be maintained and treated daily and we cannot guarantee the absence of water problems following use, maintenance and weather. Other things to note Gazeran train station is a 10-minute drive away. There are 3 free parking lots and you can reach By TER (Navigo pass access) - Rambouillet (4 minutes away) - Versailles (23 minutes away) - Paris Montparnasse (39 minutes away) By TER The line serves all stations up to Chartres. You can discover by exploring: - Rambouillet forest, the city of Rambouillet, its castle, the national sheepfold, the Rambouillet area, the Rambolitrain - Montfort l'Amaury, Mesnuls, Jouars Pontchartrain - Chevreuse Valley, Dampierre - the Château de Maintenon, the medieval town of Nogent-le-Roi - Versailles, Paris and Chartres Shops nearby: - A grocery store in the nearby hamlet (15-minute walk along trails) with bread, coffee, all common next to a square with playground - The Tremblaye farm shop and a grocery store at the Boissière Ecole (as well as the Bory farm restaurant) - Grocery store, brewery, tobacco in Poigny-la-Forêt - Bread delivery in Raizeux - Bakery, tobacco, hairdresser, La Marinette restaurant in Gazeran - all local shops in Epernon (bakery, butcher, restaurant, hairdresser, haberdashery, florist...) Markets: - in Rambouillet, market on Wednesdays and Saturdays - in Epernon, market on Tuesdays and Saturdays Supermarkets and gas stations: Rambouillet Bel-Air Hanche/Épernon There is a riding club in the hamlet and a stud farm 5 minutes' drive away. Walking trails are accessible from the house and many GRs are arrowed in the area. We have an IGN map of the surroundings at the house.
