Fourshires Lodge is a Cotswold stone lodge house built in 1802 and recently renovated to an exceptional standard, retaining many original features. The lodge benefits from exposed beams and stone work, mullion windows, large patio area, huge outdoor space and wraparound views over open countryside. There are 3 large bedrooms, one ensuite, with additional sofa bed available on request. The lodge has super fast fibre broadband and log burner. Quiet and private location but only 2 miles from town. The space Escape to Fourshires Lodge, a beautifully modernised 19th-century lodge retaining much of its original charm, reached via a peaceful country lane boasting a breathtaking 360-degree countryside views. Just 2 miles from historic Moreton-in-Marsh via footpaths, this is the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds. Daylesford Farm Shop, Cotswolds Farm Park, and Bourton-on-the-Water are all within an easy 10-mile drive. Downstairs you enter the lodge into a generous hallway, leading to the living room, with a large bay window, showcasing just one of the many views you get from inside this property. The lounge is equipped with two large sofas, smart TV (including free Netflix account), and a working log burner. Back through the hallway leads into a large utility room before entering a well equipped beautiful kitchen/diner seating up to six, quartz worktops, gas stove. There is also an exit to the garden and patio area. Downstairs is a separate study area with a small double sofa bed (NOTE: available as additional bed on request at time of booking) and a cloakroom area. Upstairs you will find three generous bedrooms, all featuring hotel-quality linens, fluffy towels, and complimentary toiletries. The master double bedroom boasts stunning countryside views, ample storage, and a well-equipped en-suite shower behind bespoke barn-style sliding doors. The second bedroom—the largest in the lodge—showcases a beautiful exposed stone wall, twin beds, and a TV. The third double bedroom is packed with character, featuring an ornamental fireplace and lovely views. A family bathroom with a walk-in shower and separate bath serves the floor. The lodge sits in around two acres of land with an extensive wraparound garden, all overlooking wonderful views of countryside and farm land. With the benefit of a gas BBQ during the summer months and a fire pit table during the winter months for alfresco dining, with one gas canister provided (additional canister can be provided at cost). The boundaries of the garden consist of trees, barbed wire fencing and electric fencing. There is also plenty of parking directly outside the property. Please no smoking or vaping is permitted throughout the property. Dogs are considered on request only, at time of booking, to enable us to determine if suitable for the property, as it is located on a working farm adjacent to a competition/stud horse yard. There is an additional fee of £30 per pet. Cot & high chair available if requested for additional £15 per item or £25 for both. (Please note, no linen is supplied with the travel cot) PLEASE NOTE: The BBQ and fire pit table will not be available between the months of November and March. Check in time is from 3pm but we will try to let you get into the cottage sooner, if requested. It just depends if we have guests staying the night before. Please try to give as much notice as possible with your arrival time and update on the day with any changes / delays. Check out is 10am, so we can get the property ready for our next guests. Guest access Guests will have private access to the whole property, including the large garden and patio area.
