The Bellerive House

La maison de Bellerive is located in a magical place of 2 hectares with private access to the Dordogne. This is the only river in France whose entire basin is classified as a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The whole house with 2 bedrooms is at your disposal. At the front, you overlook agricultural land with the road to the village in the distance. By bike or walking (1.5 km), you can reach the bakery in no time. At the back by the river, you will feel like you are alone in the world. The space This cozy vacation home from around 1930 used to be a farmhouse. It consists of two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed. The second room has two single beds, one of 210x90 and the other of 200 x 90. The kitchen is fully equipped. And the bathroom and toilet were completely renovated in 2025. In the salon there is a comfortable sofa with TV screen and Google Chromecast, DVD player. In addition, you enter a front room with dining table and large fireplace. This is a vacation home in a rare place: you have direct access to the river Dordogne. We have a terrace overlooking the passing canoes and a small "beach", only accessible to people who are able to walk well. In the backyard, there is a swimming pool (6 x 3 meters, 1.10 m high), private for the guests of the house. The owner of the house and the 2-hectare estate lives in the living barn next to the house. He can provide you with tips in the area and, if the agenda fits, take you out for canoeing. Guest access The entire house with front garden is private for the guests. The rest of the 2-hectare site contains a large poplar forest and a freely usable terrace under the old oak tree overlooking the Dordogne. Also, a simple stone staircase to the water has been built (not suitable for elderly people with mobility problems). There is a stone "beach" on the water where guests can enjoy nature, the river with passing canoes. In the backyard, there is a 6 x 3 meter and 1.10 m high swimming pool. This is privately available for the guests. The tobacco barn and a large farm barn next to the house are not accessible. Other things to note Magically, we found and bought this special place in March 2023. Apparently, this dilapidated pearl with original tobacco barn and even larger grange was waiting for our unbridled energy to turn it into something beautiful. The kitchen, shower and toilet from the 1950s have been replaced. While you are staying in the main house, Enton, the owner, will be staying in the living barn next to the house overlooking the poplar forest. You can freely enter the entire property (except the barns). This includes use of the terrace under the old oak tree by the water for, for example, a morning coffee or aperitif. Also there is a simple stone staircase to the beach by the water with two sun beds. Furthermore, it is good to know that the following is not to be checked in the amenities: There is a Google Chromecast, DVD player with various DVDs and TV screen in the living room.
