The Lakehouse at Silver Springs

Welcome to the Lakehouse at Silver Springs, a family friendly property. Come and enjoy this one-of-a-kind cabin right across the road from the crystal clear waters of the Shuswap Lake with endless boating, 20+ acres of lush forest to explore, and a little playground, all right outside your door. Everyone is welcome, including your pets! Read the captions in each photo to get a good sense of the Lakehouse and property! The space This Lakehouse comes fully equipped! All the kitchen cooking supplies are provided with a BBQ (propane provided) on the patio. The cupboards have your essentials such as oil, salt, pepper, some spices, and of course local Shuswap coffee. Groceries can be purchased from the Blind Bay Village Grocer or our little Eagle Bay store. We're only 25 minutes from Hwy 1, so there's plenty of cell coverage, free wifi, and a TV with Roku. There are 6 beds and linens, plus a futon with extra bedding. There is a dishwasher and laundry as well. Down the spiral staircase and into the games room, you will find fooseball and air hockey tables. If you're just looking to kick back and relax, then make your way to the outdoor fire pit! Our section of beach is just across the road from the Lakehouse and is shared with two other family-friendly canvas cottage rentals that are also located on this property. The buoy is available for your boat and we have a row boat so that you can get to and from your tethered boat without getting wet. The boat launch is located on Whitehead Rd, 3 minutes further down the street! Guest access Silver Springs is 20+ acres of lush forest, meandering springs, and fun hiking. Explore even more by accessing a Forest Service Road located at the very top of the property. There are two other sets of guests also sharing the property. The area around each rental is for the exclusive use of that guest but the beach and giant sloped backyard is shared for all to enjoy. There is plenty of space between the Lakehouse and canvas cottages so that everyone can enjoy their own private piece of paradise! Send us a message and we will send you direct links. Inside the Lakehouse, we have added plexiglass to the indoor railing surrounding the stairwell for added safety. However, we still suggest that infants and toddlers are watched carefully as the spiral staircase itself is not safe for small children. See the pictures and read the captions to get a sense of how the stairs are designed. The walk to the beach is 100m downhill and can be hard to navigate for those with mobility challenges. Take a look at the pictures and written captions to get a good sense of the path. There is a very accessible beach only a 1 minute drive from the Lakehouse called Shannon Beach, and is a great place to go for all ages and abilities. Shannon Beach also has a lovely hiking trail to explore. We are a family friendly property. Please keep daytime noise to a respectful volume and content, and all nighttime noise ends at 10pm. We are open to events and guests, however, our rules and policies do change. Please contact us if you would like to host an event on the property or have guests visit you during your stay.
