Troutfit Cabin

Troutfit Cabin is located in Miena, in the Central Highlands of Tasmania. From Miena you can access world class trout fishing in any direction . Anglers from across the world visit famous the waters such as Little Pine Lagoon , Arthur’s Lake , Great Lake , Woods Lake , Penstock Lagoon as well as the Nineteen Lagoons and Western Lakes in the World Heritage Area . Miena has the Central Highlands Lodge and the Great Lake Hotel for good meals as well as a great Takeaway at Arthur’s Lake Roadhouse. The space Troutfit Cabin is a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. One bedroom has a queen bed, another has a queen bed with a single and the third room has a double bed and desk we use as a fly tying bench. The bathroom and laundry are combined and there is a clothes dryer, clothes airer and clothes line outside. The kitchen has an electric stove, air fryer, slow cooker, microwave, Nespresso machine and several other items you may need. The kitchen, dining and living areas are all open plan. The house is mostly decorated with fishing pictures and ornaments. The living area has a smart tv, dvd player and plenty of DVDs if the weather causes you to become stuck inside. All beds have electric blankets, and there is a wood fire and plenty of wood to keep you warm. We do encourage wildlife around the house and you may get possums, wallabies, pademelons and deer expecting to get fed. Feel free to put any leftovers or snacks outside for them (although we’ve learned they’re not big fans of citrus fruit, garlic and onion) There are also Tasmanian devils and quolls in the backyard, but they’re not seen very often.
