Hangers available and (for longer stays) vacuum cleaner, cleaning equipment. The apartment is located on the second floor of a classic tenement house, which makes it very sunny - it has as many as six windows with a nice view of the city and greenery. The apartment has guides and maps, as well as books, so you can learn more about the history and monuments of Szczawn-Zdrój and Lower Silesia. We also didn't forget about our younger guests - they'll find blocks, a car, and a children's books. About Szczawno-Zdrój, one of the oldest spas in Lower Silesia. The city's name is derived from mineral waters referred to as alkaline and alkaline and earth seeds, containing but not limited to sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron. They have wide healing and health properties, the most famous of them are: Mieszko, Dąbrówka, Młynarz and Marta. It is picturesquely located at the foot of Chełmiec Mountain - the second highest peak of the Wałbrzyskie Mountains, with an observation tower and a cross commemorating 2000 years of Christianity. It is famous for its beautiful landscape, the Spa Park, the Swedish Park with its unique vegetation and spa monuments, mainly 19th century architecture; it should be mentioned here: a set of spa buildings (mineral water drinker, walking hall, the theater, the original spa house, concert shell), villas and guesthouses, and the spa hotel (house), Maria's manor house, the Anne's Tower from 1818, the complex "Dworzysko" - a historical object from 1845, the monument of the Ulyans of Polish-Lonia. An interesting place is the Zdrojowy Theatre, where competitions, workshops, theater performances, children's song reviews, meetings with children's and youth book authors, outdoor concerts are also held, and the city's largest cultural event is the Henryk Wieniawski International Festival, which takes place always in June. In the city there are sports facilities: Sports hall with athletics facility, indoor swimming pool "Lower Silesian Delfinek", ORLIK court, sports and recreation complex "Sunny Glade" with outdoor gym, playground, pavilion with climbing walls and tennis courts, as well as the Four Cross track - a very demanding bike track with sharp bends, muldas, hops, jumps and steep descents, artificially illuminated, where the competition takes place in the ranks of the World Cup. NEIGHBORHOOD The nearest neighborhood is very attractive, full of beautiful mountains, bike and hiking trails, as well as monuments. The most popular ones are the Książ Castle, the Old Mine in Wałbrzych, the observation tower on the Gedimina hill, the indoor swimming pool Aqua - Zdrój, the trail to the Chełmiec mountain, for the little ones - the swimming pool for children Delfinek and on Sienkiewicza Street near the apartment 2 min walk to the promenade - playground. For those who like intensive effort and mountain-loving, the Wałbrzych ladder - 80 km, 4 thousand elevations and 30 peaks. You can do in 1 day (for ultra runners) ( :) or unfold over a few. For cyclists, there are plenty of beautiful scenic bike trails. Interestingly, you can enter the large number of peaks in the Sudetes (even by ordinary mountain bike, not necessarily electric) - e.g. to Chełmiec, Great Owl, Valigora, Trójgarb, Rudawiec, Orlice, Jagodna. For those who like sunrises and sunsets - lookout towers of which there is a lot: on the Triangle, Borowa, Wild boar, Kalenica, Ruprechticki Szpiczak. In the Great Owl and Chełmc, the towers are open at certain times and sometimes only on weekends, so I recommend the first ones. The apartment has a map of view towers. Castles and palaces - there are plenty of them, it's worth knowing that almost 1/4 of Poland's castles are located in Lower Silesia. In addition to the already mentioned Książ Castle, it is also worth visiting others, such as Grodno or Bolków. The apartment has a map of Polish castles, so you can easily find them all. Rock cities - the most popular are the Czech Adrspach and Szczeliniec Wielki and Błędne Rocks in the Table Mountains, but we also recommend the less commercial and famous ones, such as the Krasnoludek Forest, Lwi Castle in Rudawa Janowickich, Broumovske Steny and Kocici Hrad in the Czech Republic. These are wonderful places for endless excursions in the stone labyrinths. Many of these places are very eager to visit by lovers of rock climbing due to the almost vertical walls. Other famous places are adorned in Walimiu (Riese complex), underground cities - Osówka and Włodarz in the mysterious Owl Mountains, Andrzejówka in the Kamienne Mountains, flooded with a quarry in Głuszyca Górna - still a little-known small body of water for fishing, swimming or waltering. And for lovers of abandoned and even haunted places, urbex-owners, etc., it is a dreamy neighborhood - just mention Tottenburg - an abandoned mausoleum at the top very close to the center of Wałbrzych, an abandoned huge 4-story palace in Mokrzeszów with a chapel and corridors, the Horrible Dwór Palace in Kochanów, the ruins of the sorting room in Głuszyca Górna (the famous seat suspended on the lines - unique on the scale of the whole country) or even...located about an hour away by the Devil's House by the railway line in the Holy Premises (note that the above places may not be available for tourist traffic and the entrance from them requires to be determined with the owner or manager of the property and follows only on its own responsibility). In a word - whether you're a fan of monuments, a fanatical backpacker, a lover of beautiful landscapes who likes to drink coffee at sunrise or sunset, a cyclist, or you're passionate about the corridors of old, abandoned castle, or you're traveling alone, with a partner/partner or children-you won't be bored here! I invite you - Jakub - owner, entrepreneur, traveler, mountain lover and bike adventures. Guest access The entire apartment is available to guests - living room with kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom with workspace, dressing room, hallway, balcony. There are free parking spaces in front of the building and outside, as well as an outdoor cell phone (e.g. for storing bicycles, strollers). You can use the dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker.
