The cottage is all on one level, a six inch step takes you into the hallway from the main entrance and a four inch step into the lounge from the patio area. Other things to note Wear View Cottage is perfectly placed for walking, wildlife watching, and exploring the many attractions of County Durham and the Durham Dales. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Edge Knoll Farm is an ideal base from which to discover the area. Hamsterley Forest is just a short drive away—or within walking distance for keen walkers. Popular nearby attractions include Kynren, Auckland Palace, Durham Cathedral, High Force Waterfall, Cauldron Snout, and Raby Castle. The access road to the cottage is via an unpaved farm track approximately 0.6 miles long. It’s regularly used by a range of vehicles, so as long as you take it slowly, you’ll be absolutely fine!
